So my meal tonight is leftovers but what dreamy leftovers- goat, cabbage, egusi, and plantain with peanut butter sauce and African Dream sauce. I have waited 6 years to try African food and finally got to this weekend. I have to give the credit to TikTok for introducing me to different cultures and their cuisines. African dream CAME THROUGH! African Dream Cuisine Independence is a hidden gem inside Independence Center. The food is delicious, amazing, and tastes homemade. The meat is tender, and the flavor of all the food is amazing. This is the best African food in the whole KC metro. The fufu is one of the best things ever tried. Specific meals like Fufu and Ensimi, Fufu and Egusi, and chicken and fufu are all wonderful. The food comes with good brisket. The amount of food for the price is quite amazing. The owners are kind, friendly, and easy going. Their energy is amazing. The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing, clean, and appealing. It is a chill setting. The restaurant makes comfort food. It is 100% worth trying.
