Main Street Coffee, located right off the Square in Independence, is everything a true coffee shop should be — no gimmicks, no distractions, just great coffee and a welcoming space to relax, create, or connect. This spot has quickly become one of my favorite places to settle in and get some writing or work done. Their big, comfy booths are perfect for spreading out with a laptop, notebook, or a good book. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cozy and productive — soft lighting, warm tones, and just enough background buzz to feel inspired. Now let’s talk about the coffee — it’s genuinely some of the best in the entire metro area. Rich, smooth, and expertly crafted, every cup feels like it’s made with real care. Whether you’re a fan of a bold espresso or a perfectly balanced latte, they never miss. One of the things I love most is their seasonal menu. It’s always creative, always delicious, and it keeps things exciting every time I visit. “Absolutely LOVE the smoothies here, always perfect every time. And that toast... oh my, I can't decide which is my favorite.. And to top it off the service is wonderful. Do not remember her name, but the team lead, Wed-Fri morning windows, yall, she is so bright and out going. She is the perfect morning pick you up..“

“I ordered a banana smoothie, but I don't like bananas. Was told online that it was best for sore gums, since I'm unable to eat. The window server said it's called the Hulk, and that if I didn't like it I could get something else. I barely got a sip down. I thought it would have maybe 1 banana. Now I know why it's called Hulk. She let me get something else. I got a peanut butter vanilla smoothie it got the job done. I offered to pay for the other one, but she said it was ok not to worry about it. That HULK one could be cut 20 times. Eww.“

“Awesome lady was very nice ! I’m a CFI truck driver delivering at Tractor Supply, it was very cold and I walk across the street to get a little coffee and breakfast! She did not hesitate getting me taken care of! God Bless! Oh by the way the food and coffee were excellent!“

“I recommend it for the snacks. Definitely not for the food. I went there today got a Torta Hawaiana there was literally 4 small pieces of meat on one side & for $12 I didnt feel like it was worth what I paid. I went there a week ago and the amount of meat was perfect. I don’t know if they’re getting new cooks or what but today wasn’t it.“
