“Craving for Mexican dish? This place is perfect! We indulged in their signature dishes, including the carne asada and enchiladas, which were bursting with flavor. The chips and salsa provided a tasty start to the meal, and the margaritas were the perfect accompaniment. The service was attentive! Highly recommended!“
“Not exaggerating, this was probably the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Wonderful customer service. My boyfriend ordered quesabirria tacos, I had the piratas. The meat was cooked and seasoned perfectly, the consommé was insanely flavorful. We will be coming back as soon as possible!!! I told my boyfriend it tastes like they put love into it, as cheesy as that sounds. I don’t often leave reviews, but I had to this time! We have a 2 year old who I gave a large piece of my piratas. Not only did he FINISH it, but he also asked for seconds! He’s picky as all get out and I didn’t even expect him to eat the first portion. He loved it as much as we did.“
“To start, first time visiting and the server was excellent and very helpful. I got a chilidog and glad I did not go with the footlong as the chili dog was a lot. Loaded with chili, cheese, and onions. Wife got a tamale and same... she could not finish it all. Nice place and we have been in the area before, but always say we will be back and will eat there then. I'm glad this was the time. Great food, nice atmosphere, and again...great service. Will be back.“
“Had to hunt down this truck based on seeing them on fb. Found them hiding at Hiland Dairy. So worth it. Been wanting to check it out since Christmas when our friend mentioned it as a local small business. Owners were very personable and helped us order. Great fries, great Philly, THE BEST tacos in KC. Salsa had perfect flavor and heat. Will be back again and again“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Alelardo's Mexican Restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. As a Mexican cuisine enthusiast, I am always on the lookout for restaurants that can deliver an authentic and memorable experience, and Alelardo's did not disappoint. The star of the show for me was their tacos. Bursting with flavor and perfectly seasoned, each bite was a symphony of Mexican spices and fresh ingredients. From the savory carne asada to the tender carnitas, every taco on their menu was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to traditional flavors.Accompanying these delectable tacos was their homemade salsa, which was simply outstanding. Made with fresh tomatoes, cilantro, and just the right amount of heat, it complemented the tacos beautifully and left me wanting more with every chip I dipped. What truly set Alelardo's apart, however, was their exceptional customer service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. In conclusion, Alelardo's Mexican Restaurant exceeded my expectations on every level. With their amazing tacos, flavorful salsa, and unparalleled customer service, they have undoubtedly earned a spot as one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. If you're craving authentic Mexican cuisine served with a smile, look no further than Alelardo's.“
“Me n my co workers come here on Thursdays for the drink specials. There is one waiter whom we love! He is very friendly n knows what service is. He is quick to get our food n drinks. The other one is completely the opposite of him n we really Don't like when we get that dull slow waiter!!“
“My first time in this neighborhood restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. I had a bowl of piping hot menudo and it was delicious the meat was tender and the soup was very flavorful.I took a chicken enchilada dinner to go and they were very good also! Looking forward to my next visit!“
“Amazing restaurant, a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. Can't remember my servers name but she was really nice to us and made sure we had everything we wanted/needed. Food taste amazing here, may actually be my new addiction...“
“We always could tell the restaurant was packed when we passed by on the highway. Now we know why! Food was delicious and fresh. Everyone loved their meal. Service was prompt. I especially liked how clean it was. We have young kids and the tables weren’t sticky like some restaurants. Highly recommend :)“
“Enchiladas! Of the chicken variety no less..... absolutely not too shabby! As requested, they are all white meat, decent sized, and the enchilada sauce was boss! Not too bad for a little independence hole in the wall Mexican joint. I will definitely consider going back in the future, and will be happy about it....although it would be more out of convenience than favorite dishes served hereVegetarian options: Definitely plenty of choices for those who don't eat the delicious meats....and food was tasty per my vegetarian GF.Parking: Easy and plentiful with open spaces all over.Wheelchair accessibility: Seemed to be an easy maneuver for handicapped needs.“
“I highly recommend the Lunch Box. I tried their "satellite" location, manned by David on Noland Road, and had a crispy shredded beef taco and a pork tamale with tomato salsa and green salsa for under $5. It was delicious and authentic!!“
“The steak/chicken/shrimp fajitas were really good, surprised with how big the portion was. The different types of salsa were great. And a definite plus since they serve horchata. They should clean & sanitize the two high chairs that were in lobby. They were both disgusting & very obvious that they haven’t been cleaned/sanitized in a very long time.“
“Arrived at Los Compas at noon on a Saturday, swiftly seated with chips and salsa. Our party of 6 enjoyed their meals, with my personal highlight being the flavorful and generously filled carne asada street tacos. Their cheese dip is an absolute must-try. Great service, reasonably practiced, solid food!“

“I like this place! Their tacos are good and the beans and chips are delicious! I used to go to paleteria el Chavo but like daisys better. Their prices and quality of food is way better. I only give 4 stars because I find their guacamole and salsa to be too watery and their rice is just okay. Overall a great spot and I’m glad I found it.“
“I was on my way home from work and happened to stop at lunch box to get a bite. As soon as I walked in I was sincierly greeded with a smile by stephanie who took my order in a fast and polite manner. The Food was delicious and her service was astonishing!!!.I highly recommended this place to anyone who wants to experience Their top of the line "burrito".“
“My first experience happened to be on a Thursday, and they have bogo chicken tacos on Thursday, so of course, I got that, and the tacos were outstanding. The service was horrible though and maybe it's because I only ordered the special but my friend ordered queso and it was forgotten. Our water never refilled, and our waitress seemed bothered. Obviously, the tip was severely affected by the lack of service, and the money saved on tacos would've been added to the tip accordingly. However, it wasn't earned on this day, unfortunately. Not sure I'll go back when there's so many other great service Mexican restaurants in the area.“
“I got steak fajitas and I'm not sorry because it was fire. That's a whole lot of meat. They stepped up thier game. The salsa has extra cilantro, and the chips are thin and crispy and the beans and rice were great. This was takeout.“
“01/10/24Wasn't the best or worst experience. The food was ok. I'm picky with my chili relleno and they're good. The soft taco was loaded! They forgot to bring a side order we asked for. But they got it out half way.Had to open the front door for someone to come out the back to pay out.“
“Ohhh my yum! ? I think we found a new favorite authentic taco place. AND it’s on this side of the state line so close to home even!!All the ingredients tasted so fresh and full of flavor! The server was super sweet and helpful too.Parking: The parking lot was full (which got our attention and drew us in) so we parked next door in the Aldi lot.“
“Wonderful people; very helpful. You will find good Hispanic food and a mini hispanic grocery store. They also have pan dulce but they do run out fast. Check it out! (Offrecen servico de envios a Latino America y paqueteria a varias regiones de Latino America.)“
“Came here for a quick bite before a Kansas City game. A family run restaurant with fresh ingredients and friendly service. They have a variety of food options including sandwiches, bbq and tacos. We tried their pork tacos and the pork was full of flavour and spiced deliciously. You can also tell all the ingredients are fresh. A great place to try if you’re in the area or heading to the stadium as it’s not too far from it.“
