“Food definitely still served hot and enough staff on hand. I didn't like the fact that they probably are not changing grease enough, fish a little darker than normally served. I'm grateful they opened back up , it is a new staff so I'll give the benefit of the doubt.
Vegetarian options: Green beans always a hit with me
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly as long as your child knows how to be in a restaurant. ( running around, disturbing others, tired and irritable etc.... )
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes parking someone will have to get the door for you.“

“So glad there's still a couple of these around. Classic 50's smash burger with the classic toppings. Apso Italian beef, Chicken sandwiches, tenderloin, all sorts of appetizers, and soft serves. Very fair prices, high quality beef, all around quentissential drive-in food. Window is a walk up. You park and walk into a counter, no seating.“

“Ordered online for pickup last night. I have to say this was the best cheeseburger I have had in a very long time! Fresh hot & delicious, but the burger itself wasn’t smashed flat or packed down making it dense like other places. Fries were hot & fresh. Great meal & I will be back, thanks Five Giys!“

“The atmosphere is typically loud during all hours of the day so you'll have to raise your voice if you want to communicate to the person in front of you. If you're getting a takeout order you might not hear your name yelled so you need to be paying attention. They're always officers everyday in and out of the store so there's always a service officer there to help anyone if someone is having trouble or need sanctuary. Chick-fil-A is considered a safe place so if someone is chasing you or you're having problems they will help you with sanctuary. It is wheelchair friendly everyone is always very very kind everyone dresses very nice the place is always kept very clean. This particular Chick-fil-A on 39th Street is always busy so there will always be a long line for the drive-thru. Is definitely my favorite Chick-fil-A I've been to and I've been to a lot of Chick-fil-A's. When you order food there is a general decent wait time so be prepared for that but it's always nice hot and fresh.
Parking: There's about 40 parking spots but since it's so busy it can be hard to find a parking spot but people are usually in and out so you can either park by the mall if you want to walk or you'll typically get a parking spot there's usually always one open.
Kid-friendliness: There is absolutely kid friendliness kids are protected there and safe if they wander around or have fun you know kids are. Nothing will happen to your kid if they go to the restroom by themselves they're very watchful there and there's always an officer there.“

“Great food.but the young kid at night is rude.you walk in and he rolls his eyes.he stands up front and walks back and forth.while the other employees.are working and then your food sits there that the people in the back are yelling at him to get the food out.he listens at the men's bathroom door to see if anyone is in there.he back talks manager and employees.he needs to go.very creepy.“

“The food here is affordable and satisfactory. I like the chicken sandwiches and curly fries. So far I haven't had any issues with our food or service here. The workers here are respectful and polite, and it is kid-friendly.
We dined in on a Tuesday evening around 6pm and it was nice and quiet.
The tables and seats are tidy, and the women's restroom is clean too, however my husband said the men's restroom was dirty.
We will be back again for some time to come if it stays this way.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. There are baby seats and a changing table in the women's restroom.“

“Food took a bit to receive. But it was correct, hot and fresh. The cashier was patient and friendly. Was not really busy when I went there on a Saturday afternoon. The worst part for me is actually getting into the area it is located as it is almost really busy.“

“I ordered an item and pulled up to the drive thru windows to pay. Then I find out they were out of an ingredient for one of my items after payingfor it. A manager or employee came up to the windows, informed of the lack of ingredient and asked me if there was another item they could include in my order to make this situation right. That manager or employee gets it. I would gladly employee him at my restaurant.“

“We were there for the Kentucky Fried Chicken part of the restaurant, and even before I ordered, the lady working the front register let me know that due to an oven breakdown, they did not have any biscuits prepared. But she offered me extra large sides to go along with our meal to compensate for the lack of biscuits. I thought it was great customer service that they let me know up front what was going on and they had a solution to offer, and that actually worked out great for us! We ordered a 20-piece meal and waited only a few minutes for everything to be prepared and ready to go.“

“Update: "All's well that ends better" (The Hobbit) Amazing going there the next day. The female cashier was so nice. She had a very positive message on her hoodie (two actually) and though they were understaffed, the wait gave me time to catch up on a book that concerns very recent (21st century) and older events yet concerned a 1970s/1980s theme consistent with the times that I had used to frequent A&W with Dad as a kid. The whole thing was dreamily nostalgic, the food very good and the food service person wonderful! And...you could still get glass mugs! You do have to request these though—so be sure to. <Based on 2024JUN03 visit>
This place is a complete mockery with A&w once was growing up! Totally insane no one is at the drive-thru speaker so I just drive through some and shouts wait! Then I decided to go into the dining room and an employee on a cigarette break tells me that the dining room has closed at 8:00. Then she tells me the speakers broken and we go to the window. I mean don't get me wrong I appreciated this information and that was nice that's one of the reasons I'm adding one star. Then at the drive-thru I asked about their bacon double cheeseburger she said they're out of bacon. Then she says the girls off so they can't make any burgers. So I said can I get like any burgers and she's like no the girls off and also we're out of bacon. Then it turns out this was another way of saying that A&w had closed at 8:00 and only Long John silver's was open something the employee on the cigarette break had not mentioned. I went back the next day and the line was insanely long and not moving. Again don't get me wrong I'm not really blaming the staff they're understaffed in the place is just kind of completely a rundown mass. There's an interesting picture on the wall of Long John silver's. But you know childhood memories of A&w root beer from the '70s were completely shattered! It appeared and I could be wrong about this The only way you could get root beer in a glass mug was to buy one. At least that option still existed! Allied one more star for that. I actually just gave up on A&w Root beer is a long lost dream of going there with your dad as a little kid... I guess it's just lost in the land of nostalgia now forever!“

“Had a young gentleman wait on me? and he was so kind and patient. Have never had anyone in a fast food restaurant be so nice and thoughtful. If I was his boss, I would give NATHAN a raise to make sure he stays. Thank you NATHAN for making my day with your kind smile and friendly service.DiannaSt Louis, MO“

Food came out quick and EVERYTHING was hot & fresh! Made exactly how I ordered and I was full afterwards. Would definitely come back if I'm nearby!!“

“wow I came here to leave a review and I'm surprised about the negative reviews. I've never had a bad experience at this location, though I suppose I'm used to the horrible Taco Bell/KFC location on Noland Rd.
The staff have always been sweet and just the right amount of customer service, and I've always enjoyed my food. I don't think I've ever had an incorrect order at this location either. Keep it up guys!“

“Today Roman and I went in for a quick breakfast and unfortunately for the sweet girl that took care of us "Francesca", she was down staff. I saw her take orders at the window, take our order and also run to get the food as well. My hat is off to her as she did everything she could to make us happy. To whomever the manager was she is an incredible employee and worth her weight in gold ✨“

“I always go out of my way for this location, because the quality is always consistent. Friendly staff working at the drive-thru. The food was saucy, tasty, and had perfect aromatics on the steak, the steak was tender as well, seems to be higher quality beef.“

“Many, many years ago" late 70s" when I first had Mugs Up. Lived in kC, Independence, Lees summit. Mugs up was a couple times a week thing. Moved away in 91, back to Ga. Everytime I go to KC, to see family and friends I also have to visit mugs Up, my favorite as well as the Pizza Fun House.“
