“Excellent tacos“

“Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. The salsa was very tasty and not overly spicy. The coffee was even tasty (Costco Kirkland medium roast). Unlike some breakfast restaurants, the background music was so low and mellow (helps with digestion), I could hear my friends talk. We have to go back during the week for dinner. UPDATE - I forgot one very important thing, the service was excellent. Our group was one of two in the restaurant, but shortly afterwards other start to arrive. There was only one friendly waitress, who, despite the growing crowd, was able to get back to us about more coffee and to check on us“

“I have nothing but positive things to say about Taco Rico. Food is fresh and oh so good. Reminds me of being in my grandmas' kitchen. When I say everything is good, I mean EVERYTHING is good. “Had a great time at Guy Fieri’s Dive & Taco Joint while enjoying the soccer atmosphere at Kansas City’s Power & Light District. We ordered the carne asada tacos and the carne asada fries, and both were delicious. The carne asada was flavorful, and the fries were loaded and perfect for sharing.

The service was friendly and the atmosphere was lively with lots of fans around. Great food, great energy, and a fun place to hang out while watching soccer. We would definitely come back next time we’re in Kansas City! ⚽🌮😊🔥“

“🚨GUACAMOLE CHANGE! We’ve been coming to Ponaks for 30 years. The guacamole has aways been one of our favorites. Today we ordered it and immediately noticed something was different. We asked the server and he confirmed that they have changed their recipe, and it’s for the worst. They’ve added “filler” by putting pico and other ingredients into it. It’s not even close to what it was. I hope they don’t start changing their food and Margaritas!!! There is a reason people keep coming back year after year! Please dont mess with perfection Ponaks!“

“I want to El Maguey with my family for dinner, and overall we had a pleasant evening. The atmosphere is really great, It’s a modern yet traditional style. We got two taco kids meals and they were definitely over priced for what they were. The restaurant was really clean and we had great service. “My family and I visited KC to watch the world cup, and we decided to stop and eat a quick dinner here before our game. Know that you order at kiosks, so there is no employee that will receive your order/interface with you until they bring the food out. It was a bit confusing because we didn't receive a confirmation that the order was sent, but it came out relatively quickly. The food was delicious, and we really enjoyed being able to have halal tacos/Ramen. I would definitely come again if I come back to KC!“

“Tatema is a little hole in the wall restaurant, but let me tell you, their food is incredible! I am generally a person who doesn't like mexican food (at least the american version of it), however when I got tacos here for the first time, they were truly life changing. I have yet to branch out to any other food item, but their tacos alone are absolutely delicious! I would highly highly recommend you go there! I ordered the fried burrito w carnitas and it was DELICIOUS!!!! the rice was really good too . I also tried a frozen melon margarita and it was ok, not much alcohol in it. Overall it was a yummy drink and dinner. I will be going back for more. also our waitress was amazing I really liked her I apologize I can't remember her name but definitely one of the best. parking was easy.“

“Been to Jalapenos for dinner several times as I live in the area. It's definitely got a family vibe. The food is good but not excellent. It's also expensive for what it is. However, sit down restaurants are just expensive everywhere nowadays. The chips and salsa are a highlight for the kids. And I attest that the beef quesadillas are great and can be a dinner portion on their own. The service was generally good. They can get busy but our drinks are rarely empty and the chips and salsa just keep coming. So I would recommend for a family friendly, low key dinner spot.“
