For a woodfired grill, I was surprised at how little flavor the chicken had. Was it better than normal, yes but it wasn't the grilling that I remember from my youth in Texas when they would use Mesquite and the flavor was amazing. But I guess in Sinaloa style, this is what you get.“

I always order burrito asada, and initially I was taken aback because they had beans in burrito. Now I find it part of the reason I love them. Big portions, friendly staff, and clean restaurant. “We spotted this establishment In the heart of a cozy area of Kansas City, KS and thought we'd give it a try. We parked in their small side parking lot as street spaces were full. As we did so, we saw a steady 'take out' clientele. We intended to eat in and did. It's a small, clean, efficient space with cozy seating; multiple comfortable, small tables with seating for 4 (2 on each side). Straight ahead of the entrance is an order window. To the left are 3 self-serve drink dispensers offering trasitional Mexican drinks, a soda machine and pre-packaged refrigerated drinks. To the right of the order window, posted on the wall - are many lunch options, then breakfast options.
Below the menus, a side cart offers self-serve topping options; an onion/carrot/jalapeno veg mix, limes, cucumbers and 6 different sauces (1 mild, 3 med, 2 hot).
The young lady (who took our order AND made our meal) was friendly, informative and efficient.
We ordered the #6 breakfast (an omelet with rice, beans and a choice of flour or corn tortilla; we chose flour). The food was delivered hot, straight off of the grill and absolutely delicious. Customer traffic was steady, a few ate in, more got meals to go. Service was consistent steady, friendly, efficient and competent. Don't know if the individual who served us is the owner but everything about her was done with a dedication and pride of someone who loves what they do and does it exceptionally well.“

“The lady taking orders was standoffish, I only knew a few words of Spanish. That seemed to annoy her. The cook corrected her attitude and knew exactly what I wanted.. she eased up a little bit.. (with that being said) customers spending money at any establishments that don't speak English or Spanish.. should always be made to feel comfortable and welcome to support any business.. simple math. Welcoming business + happy customer = $$$ thriving business. P.S. remind your staff to be friendly. The chicken was flavorful,fresh, and hot .would recommend.“

“Ohemgee! We found a new fave stop on the Taco Trail. The tacos are hot fresh and FULL of meat. My carne asada and pastor tacos were flavorful and ¡muy delicioso! The meat was a little crispy but not dried out. The server at the counter was super friendly and gave us a little history lesson on the name (no this is not a food truck but a restaurant now… but they started as a truck many years ago). We got our sauces on the side because they came with a warning that they are not gringo mild. 😃“

The tamales are the highlight—the masa is light and fluffy, not heavy or dry like most places, and they’re stuffed with meat that actually has flavor. The salsas are the real kicker; mild was great and the hot has a kick but so fresh you’ll keep dipping even when your mouth is watering. To top it off, the margaritas actually taste like tequila and fresh lime, not that sugary bottled mix. They’re strong, simple, and hit the spot perfectly.“

Clean, nice, excellent food.
The tacos were stuffed & pastor was perfect. Some places char it too much so it's not tender, just right here. Guacamole was some of the best I've had and the roasted peppers, limes, & radish is a nice bonus.

I am american so I expected the tacos to have cheese and lettuce but the cilantro and onions are more then enough. The sauce is hot and I wish I could make it myself. If the al pastor tacos weren't so good I would try something else but haven't tried anything else since my first experience!!“

He took our drink order and the exceptional service just kept getting better. Drinks and chips were always full. My husband ordered the burrito and taco special and I had the Quesaburrias. Oh my word were they good! I typically order the quesaburrias if they are offered at other restaurants and these were by far the best I've had. The consomme' was exceptionally seasoned which of course made the beef very tasty. My husband was pleased with his meal as well. This is the 2nd time I've eaten here and each time has been exceptional. I'll be back.“

“Went to get tacos at Bonito Michoacan in Kansas City, Kansas with Fantasia and friends. My first time here. In in Kansas, Kansas City. Area don't feel like the safest you can tell by all the bars in each establishment. Once we got in it was packed. I was not expecting a very long line. Thay is a sign that the food must be very good. I had the tacos, one was tongue 👅 tacos. Tacos were fresh and the spice they put on was hot, loved it. It was my level of spice!!! “This is such an amazing family owned establishment, one of the most fastest and reliable spots. Definitely my new go to spot for when i get that burrito craving whether it’s in the morning or late at night. Service was fast and the staff was so nice, them being open 24 hours is like adding cherries on top. I recommend going in early and getting the chorizo & potato burrito and the #1, they’re a bargain at $5 so getting two is budget friendly. To put it frank, i WILL be coming back and can’t wait for those impeccable burritos (I’m salivating just thinking about it.)“
