“My favorite Mexican food in KC, period. More "street style" than traditional restaurant style, and the food is just amazing. I've known the owner, Don Memo (Guillermo) for years, as he used to run the taco truck in front of Olivares Auto Garage, at Independence Ave/Denver on the Missouri side. His tacos were fantastic then, and are just next-level awesome now that he has an actual kitchen to work with. If you're looking to just sit down and enjoy some wonderful authentic Mexican food (antojitos) without the expense of a large restaurant, and without having to sit outside like at a taco truck, this is the place to go.“
“Solid authentic food truck. I live in the neighborhood and I've stopped three or four times now and it has never disappointed. My girlfriend is a gringo so I typically only order Asada, Pastor, and Chorizo, no stomach or cheek, but they are top notch and we love the grilled onions, cucumbers, and radishes that come with them and the green salsa is delicious. Can't go wrong here and super affordable.“
“These tacos quickly became my favorite. Everything we have tried so far has been really good. The service is always friendly and quick.we usually get the steak street tacos. But the quesadillas are SO GOOD. The quesadillas are good sized and my husband and I usually split one. It has become out of to taco place.“
“I am nothing if not an avid taco eater! Stopped by Tacos El Sobrino for a quick lunch, and it was fabulous! The service was quick, and the food was super tasty. I thought that the chicken was a little dry, but our waitress gave us so many yummy sauces that complimented the meat well and added some liquid back. Will definitely be back again!“
“I ordered a burrito it was real good I enjoyed it. I will come back( truth I was asked what I wanted from here from a friend and I didnt know what they had just pick a burrito or taco. Lol so chose the burrito. Definitely coming back to look at menu and get something “
“Wow. This is a bold claim, but these may be my new favorite tacos in Kansas City. I decided to drive through Argentine and stop at any place that caught my eye. I spotted this taco truck in the parking lot and pulled in. I picked three tacos and a bottled Mexican Coke for $11. There's a taco plate with rice & beans, but faulty communication on my part meant I just got the tacos. They were served with onion, cilantro, and lime with a side of mild salsa verde. At every other taco shop in KC there is some variety that I just don't like. Often the carnitas are fatty and gristly or they're very dry and crispy. Sometimes the cut of meat for the Asada isn't the best or there's no seasoning. To me, these were all great. The carnitas had a little bit of fat, but not enough to be off-putting and no gristle! They were tender and moist and flavorful. I wasn't sure what meat would come in the campechanos taco, but I loved the combo of Asada and chorizo. Chorizo on its own is sometimes too strong. This was well-seasoned and balanced nicely with the Asada. And no complaints about the single Asada taco, either. The pieces of meat weren't too large or too tiny. The taco shells were pliable and held together well. The only thing I would have liked is a little more salsa or maybe a spicier salsa. I don't know if they have other salsas to choose from. Maybe they just chose the mild for me! But personally I like a lot of sauce. But this was I was able to taste all of the fillings very well, so maybe it's a good thing. I will definitely stop here for carnitas tacos in the future or try something else from the menu!“
“I got the chorizo burrito. Had beans and veggies and the cilantro was a great touch. Chorizo was a little dry but a great burrito. Even had grilled onion and pepper on the side. Staff was very friendly. Now would I pay almost 13 bucks again, probably not. But if some one was buying I would definitely recommend this place. I will go back and try other menu items.“
“Authentic Mexican food, the gorditas are delicious and the menudo is one of the best I've ever had. Get there early because it runs out soon and a recommendation is that they only take cash. The service is not very fast but if you are not in a hurry it does not matter, it is worth the wait.Super recommended!“
“Wow, what a gem! And you can tell everything is thoughtfully made with care. I had a taco, Gordita, and Sope with various meat choices. All flavorful and fresh and great with the house-made salsas, too! The elotes were also fantastic, lime-y and tangy with a hit of tajin. Add this spot to your list!“
