“Amelia and the team are amazing. I come to this Chipotle 3 to 4 times a week, and this is the only location I go to because of them.

I actually live about 40 minutes away near the Claycomo area, so I do not eat at the Chipotle by my house. I come to this location because they take care of me every time.

They are always polite, they make sure my food is right, and even when it gets busy and chaotic, they still keep a good attitude and look out for the customers.

They deserve recognition and honestly, they deserve a raise. This is my favorite Chipotle location because of the people working here.“

“Los Alamos Cocina is easily the best authentic Mexican food in KC. The menudo and pozole is best ive ever had and the chili rolo and verde are both outstanding, tastes exactly like homemade because they are. Wonderful family owned stop in a historic area of KC. oh and dont forget to treat yourself to the best chillaquiles and eggs you'll ever have. Delicious! The catering we got for our New Years feast was a huge hit as well: tamales, pork verde and menudo. EXCELLENTE!“

“Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. The salsa was very tasty and not overly spicy. The coffee was even tasty (Costco Kirkland medium roast). Unlike some breakfast restaurants, the background music was so low and mellow (helps with digestion), I could hear my friends talk. We have to go back during the week for dinner. UPDATE - I forgot one very important thing, the service was excellent. Our group was one of two in the restaurant, but shortly afterwards other start to arrive. There was only one friendly waitress, who, despite the growing crowd, was able to get back to us about more coffee and to check on us“

“We've been visiting establishments down here for just about 30 of my almost years in KC. My wife is of Mexican descent and we buy supplies and goods down there frequently. For some reason even though i looked at this place every time i pulled out of a parking lot nearby, we just never stopped there. Then the other day someone posted a review in a google headline byte so we decided to try it as BBQ does get old sometimes. All I can say is WOWZA, im kicking myself for never going there now(which of course will be made up for). Come as you are. It's a nice little establishment with inside and outside seating. The staff is friendly, the service is soooo fast and the chicken is absolutely phenomenal. Half or whole chicken comes with rice and beans and soda or drink, even coke in a glass bottle(those of us who know). The skin is amazing too, the colonel has NOTHING on El Pollo Rey. Half a chicken or whole chicken, the price is the same (2 halves is same price as a whole) and when you're done there's even a place to put your glass bottle or can for recycling purposes. If youve never been then GO.....NOW. Your only regret will be you didnt go sooner.“

“80th Street location We usually go to the one on 151st but saw a review in a group and this one was so cute decided to try it. We went on Monday, had such an amazing dinner that we went back tonight (Tuesday). Our servers both nights were beyond friendly and knowledgeable. I forgot Mondays server name but tonight was Marcos and he was the absolute best! I had the tortilla soup both nights and I just want a gallon of it, the best I have ever had. The toppings added to it overall, and the fresh avocado was so tasty. Really, get it, you won't be the same after. Is getting it 3 days in a row excessive? Hmmmm Taco Tuesday tacos $1 each, ground beef or chicken. The ground beef is well seasoned, and delicious. The avocado salsa is another must try. This is a must and my new favorite place.“

They have the best chips and salsa of any Mexican Restaurants when me and my friends go we end up getting like 6 plates of chips and at least 3 refills of salsa each. The food is also fire the pork carnitas are Lightning in a bottle an amazing explosion of Flavor the carnitas tend to explode all over my hands, but that’s a me issue. Their pricing is also very good. I would recommend this place to all who are looking for great Mexican food!“

We asked the server and he confirmed that they have changed their recipe, and it’s for the worst. They’ve added “filler” by putting pico and other ingredients into it. We were referred to KMachos and OMG there is NOTHING i can say to complain! From the exquisite service we got from the server, he was AMAZING and funny and friendly! wish we would of got his name! I had the carne asada steak with beans and rice and tortillas and it all was cooked to PERFECTION. The steak was perfect, juicy seasoned to perfection. It hit all the spots my craving had! The raspberry Margarita OMG. It was phenomenal. My colleague had the chimichangas and LOVED IT. If i could give this place a 10,000 outta 10! Do not sleep on this place. It's perfection....“
