“The Cafe was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. The vibe was great! I ordered a matcha and pork tamale. The drink was good, but I was disappointed in the food. I wouldn’t even call it a Tamale. It was paper thin, hardly any meat and the ends were extremely hard. I would imagine from heating it up in the microwave. I ordered the tamale per the reviews and recommendation of an employee, but I was not impressed.“

“This wonderful place is a must visit! The space itself is beautiful (with lovely murals and a charming book selection on offer to buy), the coffee drinks are delicious and original, and the food is transcendent: it really could not have been tastier or more creative. All the staff were very helpful and nice: a huge KC highlight!“

“They have THE best chicken tamales I’ve ever had in my life. They are nothing like the “traditional” ones with the dry masa. Also, their quesabirria is 🔥 as well. Try the consume with the tamales. 🤌🏾“

“We ordered the 1/2 chicken with sides and everything was delicious. Order comes with rice, beans, salsa, half a charred onion, two charred jalapeños, and 8 tortillas. Quick service and everything was so fresh. Definitely will be back.“

“I came to this awesome food truck last night. This place has the best pupusas I’ve ever had in Kansas City! They are not skimpy with the fillings at all. The carne asada pupusa is my absolute favorite because the steak is nice, tender, and very well seasoned. 10’s across the board!“
