“So I have now been here twice, after the first time I would have said you should speak Spanish... But after today, not necessary. If you want to go out on a limb try a different experience definitely head here for some seafood you will not be disappointed“
“Parking is a disaster. It's difficult to find a spot, and the neighborhood is not the best. However, the food is! The selection of the food of the quality is incredible. The service is indeed quite good, but without a good working knowledge of spanish, it is a little tough to get by. The atmosphere is perfect for this quaint, little restaurant. It reminds me of similar places in Central America. Perhaps that's the goal, and it is well accomplished.Kid-friendliness: It is very casual, so children will fit right in.“
“Spend a nice night at Cafe Tikal, I recommend the Churrasco Chapin, the place is very clean and very good atmosphere, a little expensive but it's worth it to spend the whole night with a band and DJ, we won't see you again tonight and of course you have a lot of thanks to Karen for serve us wonderfully..“
“The best pupusas! I recommend getting an order for 3 its only $12 and affordable! The service was also nice and it was quick and easy! The pupusas come with extra sauces with no charge! You get to choose any of the flavors they have for your three choices! Ordering an Horchata on the side is the cherry on top!“
“Omg............you HAVE got to try this spot out!!!! They've got everything from the absolute BEST hospitality, most deliciously homemade fresh empanadas, and incredibly delightful Frescas Con Crema( with an added shot)?....I haven't even made it to the dessert?Christina, you all have raised the bar!!!??Outstanding!!!! “
“This is an excellent and unique cafe serving interesting and delicious food and drinks. I tried the Spicey Mayan Mocha and it was fantastic. The combination of chili, cocoa and coffee was a new experience that elevates the classic Mocha. I also tried the Jalapeno and Cheese Tamale which was absolutely killer! Service was great and the interior was clean and welcoming.I will definitely make a return trip next time I'm in KCMO.Highly recommended!“
“I've eaten here before, but it continues to be one wonderful tasting meal you should treat yourself to. The service is always quick and friendly. As the owner will tell you "giving the people what they want is what keeps a line forming at his window." I think the smells of the meat smoking over open pit wood fire is what makes me stop in whenever I pass by.“
“My sister and I had the opportunity to meet the owner this week. She is the kind of person you want to support: gracious, intelligent about her business and very kind. The products are outstanding! We have felt blessed by the whole experience. We highly recommend supporting this local business.“
“The staff super friendly and accommodating. I ate fried chicken. They bread it theirs elves. Fresh, hot, juicy and big pieces. Good seasoning on the breading. Not much to offer in this area, so it was nice to find something other than a sandwich.Parking: Corner lot that can accommodate the area.Dietary restrictions: My husband diabetic and ordered Taco salad. They can make some vegetarian things.“
“The empanadas have very good seasoning! I recommend them although personally I like them crunchier! What I didn't like is that personally I felt a little disorganization among the employees, and I ordered 4 empanadas, 2 chicken empanadas, 2 meat empanadas to take away and they sold me the 4 chicken empanadas (I think it's part of the same disorganization that I felt). and I realized 3 hours later when I had already arrived from KC to Salina“
“I tried to visit but there’s a sign on the door that leads to a different location that unfortunately doesn’t serve the same food. The very nice cashier at the new location said that they would soon be bringing over the pernil and Cuban sandwich. Once those are there, I’m dying to try!“
“The place is great an all but I don’t understand why you had a young man with a red shirt peeing out side the restaurant around 3:00 to 3:20 July 9, 2023next to this young lady in a white dodge truck, disrespectful I say, very disrespectful if it would of been my daughter, wife, sister, we would of had a problem, you know, why am I saying this comment you might ask? So you guys can put cameras around the perimeter an hold people accountable“
“The service is great. Food comes fast and the restaurant is clean with beautiful Peruvian decorations. However the food was not as good as I thought, the bistec was overcooked. The Pescado frito was over fried as well. The Papa a la Huacaina was delicious and the Tallarines Verdes were good too. Hopefully next time the meat won't be so overcooked.“
“A wonderful family business where love is as secret ingredient. The quality is very high . The atmosphere next to a park is great . This is one of my favorite places for comfort food Honduras style . Best and unique frijoles I've ever had . Everything is good here .“
