“We had a family Christmas dinner for 22 over the holidays at Cafe Verona. The food was excellent, and the service was impeccable. Our incredible server, Andy, was attentive to the needs of the adults, teens, and children at all times! He truly made the special evening a success! Everything was set up early, including items for the children, to keep their attention and maximize the time together as a family. All of the dishes were outstanding, and my personal favorite was the mushroom lover's pasta and the lasagna (for my husband). The appetizers of house made hummus, garlic bread, and calamari were also enjoyed by all! If you have not tried Cafe Verona, give it a whirl. You will not regret the decision. “It's pick up or delivery, so not much for atmosphere. However, it is the best Chinese food in my immediate area. Most places are so so at best, but Mandarin House has been here a long time, and there is reason for it. Fresh, quality ingredients, and experienced staff create very tasty dishes. I recommend anything, because it is all very good. Great prices too! There is only one place that compares, but they are a sit down restaurant, more expensive, and they are far from my home in Independence. So, for the surrounding area, this is the place to choose!“

“My girlfriend and I enjoy "Taco Tuesday" here.
I enjoy the fact that they have one of my favorite beers on tap, Pacifico. My girlfriend enjoy the margaritas on tap and has gone as far as to say that they are the best she's had. Very friendly staff and always making sure the glass is never empty!

“I love Cracker Barrel. But lately the service in Independence is lacking. The waitress was very nice, I felt sorry for her because the kitchen kept messing up our order, white bread instead of wheat… had to ask for gravy. The bread was done wrong twice, finally said forget it. Being a server is hard enough, but the kitchen is usually the culprit not the wait staff….good food.“

“We had the pleasure of catering our wedding with Yings Thai. We were blown away by Tomas and the absolutely delectable food! Tomas had excellent communication and went over the top to make sure our day was special. He helped us plan the menu and we couldn’t have been happier. The wedding guests all raved about the food throughout the night. The egg rolls and crab Rangoon were the absolute bomb. The Pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, and stir fry stole the show! We loved how our guests could start with a mild version and increase the heat as they saw fit. Tomas was so thoughtful and posted all the possible allergy concerns and made sure peanuts were on the side for those with an allergy. Tomas and Yings Thai made our night special and for that we are incredibly grateful!“

They should clean & sanitize the two high chairs that were in lobby. They were both disgusting & very obvious that they haven’t been cleaned/sanitized in a very long time.“

Now I crave the orange Italian dressing. I really love the chef salad, the slices, the Stromboli and the garlic knots. I drive to the mall now just to get food to go.“

Came out to around $26 with taxes for what is pictured, ordered the General Tso extra spicy and the Combination Fried Rice. The "extra spicy" option wasn't as spicy as I had hoped, but definitely came spicier than other franchises. Combo rice included a generous amount of proteins for the price. Will certainly order in the future! Dishes have a Beijing flavor profile.“

I love avocados, but I almost cannot stand guacamole... until Casa Mexico, very good they showed me that guacamole does not have to taste bitter. “Best General Tso I’ve had since moving to KC it was absolutely perfectly made perfect amount of heat. Egg foo young was great & the gravy was amazing lots of veggies. Reminds me of my mother in laws cooking very, very good. If I have one complaint it is how google has the dishes/food formatted on here. I just called and generically ordered what I’d typically order at any Chinese delivery because it’s confusing. Then I saw another menu from their restaurant with some awesome authentic Chinese dishes from their chef that I would’ve ordered had I seen them. But I will order them next time. The staff when I called was friendly & the delivery was fast and friendly.“

“Wow! Never been to a buffet before today’s visit. Walked in around 4ish and the they were stocking the server tables with fresh pizzas and chicken thighs and the salad bar was refreshed. We tried a slice of each and it wasn’t bad at all! Slices aren’t big which is great because we wanted to try them all. Didn’t know what to expect here. It’s was good and the amount of food you can get for the price beats the pants off any pizza place. The chicken and French fries were great. There was a half full dining room and a couple of servers walking around collecting plates, they were very friendly. The deserts were great as well, delicious chocolate chip cookies. The dining areas were all very clean.“
