“We just ate here for the first time and first of all the pizza was delicious. Maybe best pizza I’ve eaten ever. But backstory, my mom just passed away a week and a half ago and we’ve been on the struggle bus and our server was so incredibly kind to us and there was a magician they hired walking around doing tricks for tables. He was not only amazing and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing but more importantly, he brought us joy to us in a dark time and I will forever be such a fan of this restaurant. “We were staying overnight at The Fairfield Inn, and The Summit Grill was recommended to us for a dinner location. We were pleasantly surprised at the deliciously amazing food, quick service, and also our attentive waiter, Travis. I highly recommend the Traditional Pot Roast, and my husband recommends the Chicken-Fried Chicken. If we are in Gladstone again, we will defintely return.“

“Most of the food is what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant in the area. But, they have some of the best crab rangoon I’ve ever had, plenty of filling and not too sweet like so many places seem to make them. The owner and staff are also some of the nicest people. My family goes often enough for them to know us and they have given my kids random samples of things they are trying out at their Boba shop next door.“

“I cannot express enough how amazed I am with the customer service. Yesterday (Super Bowl Sunday—-GO CHIEFS!) I placed an online order. My pick up time was at 5 (earliest I could get because I waited too long to place the order) I arrive early hoping it would be done earlier because I had people arriving at my house and I didn’t want to miss the game. When I arrived it was packed on people waiting. I assumed I was going to be there for awhile so asked if I could order a beer. They got me a beer and a chair. As I sat there for over an hour (it went past my pick up time) I saw all of the employees working very hard trying their best to fill the orders quickly. Some of the customers were being quite rude to the girls up front as the customers were upset their food wasn’t ready. The girls did an amazing job keeping everyone calm they would simply just smile and tell them they are working on it. I was so impressed how these girls handled themselves not one time did I hear them get snippy with a customer even tho I’m sure they wanted to. It was always a smile with a polite response. I was there almost til the end and a guy started yelling at the girls and still it was a smile and polite response. I got my food and made it for the game and the food was delicious as always!“

“First I really did enjoy the food, i picked up a gyro sandwich with hummus to go. I also picked up a side of baklava.
Unfortunately to go orders , do not get top complementary mint tea, and honestly it was priced a little bit high. That said, the flavor was outstanding.

“Jim and the team there care, a rare commodity in this day and age. A friend of mine accidentally left behind his son’s teddy bear, 6 waitresses and Jim studied the picture and took down our numbers. Jim was in the back, one of the waitresses (wish I knew her name) said to hold on that Jim would want to be involved. “I’ll be honest—I was a little nervous going into Akoya Omakase. I had never done any kind of Omakase experience before, and just looking at the menu was honestly a little intimidating. I wasn’t sure what to expect or if it would be something I would enjoy.

After experiencing it, I can confidently say: **if you like sushi, you will LOVE this place.**

But what really stood out to me was that this isn’t just a meal—it’s a dining experience. In my opinion, **Akoya Omakase is one of the best dining experiences in Kansas City**, especially if you do the **Chef’s Table**. Being able to watch everything come together and experience the food the way the chef intended made it something I won’t forget.

And if you go, **ask for Jay**. He was incredible. He made the entire experience feel comfortable and welcoming, especially for someone like me who had never done Omakase before. He explained things, answered questions, and made the experience feel approachable rather than intimidating.

I went in not really knowing what to expect and left already thinking about when I could come back.

**If you love sushi, go. If you love unique dining experiences, definitely go. And if you do, make sure you sit at the Chef’s Table and ask for Jay. You won’t regret it.**“

“My husband and I had the best experience at this restaurant. The food was good as always. During our meal my husband had to use the rest room. He has some dementia and can’t walk very well. Unfortunately we were sitting at a table which was on the complete opposite side of the restaurant from the rest room. The server noticed our dilemma and said she would guide him over to the restroom. She was back immediately. I said, “Oh, he won’t be able to find his way back to this table.” The server told me not to worry about it. The restaurant manager had taken him over and would wait and bring him back.
