“We have been going to Lotus Hot Pot since it opened. Anytime we crave hot pot we head that way all the way from Independence. Restaurant is always clean, service is great and food is delicious! Hannah always makes sure to come out and greet her guest and Lina gives amazing service with a smile. Love the new all you can eat menu, just the right amount of serving (not like other places) and when you need more just order more!“

“We just ate here for the first time and first of all the pizza was delicious. Maybe best pizza I’ve eaten ever. But backstory, my mom just passed away a week and a half ago and we’ve been on the struggle bus and our server was so incredibly kind to us and there was a magician they hired walking around doing tricks for tables. He was not only amazing and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing but more importantly, he brought us joy to us in a dark time and I will forever be such a fan of this restaurant. “The people here are very friendly and helpful. I was there on a Tuesday for their special prices. When it came time to pay, the cashier told me the amount which sounded correct. However, I questioned why it was not showing on the credit card machine. It was blank and they told me to tap in the middle. I was not real comfortable with charging a “blank check”. Another employee told me the amount was on the cash register window which was covered over with a sign hanging there. So I went ahead and tapped.

The total was in the mid $40s. Several tip options came up, with the lowest one being $6 and some change. It was erroneously labeled as 10%. 10% would have been around $4.50. I questioned that and they had no firm answer. (I suppose it was 10% on the non Tuesday special prices). I asked if I could fill in a custom amount and was told no. The employees were very friendly so I left the $6+ tip for them. The entire cash register experience seemed unsettling.

I can not recall if the two who made my pizzas put on gloves first. One was the cashier and the other came out of the back.“

“We happened upon this place, honestly. Because we needed to use the restroom but, we wanted to be good patrons and checked out the menu. Opted for the Jerk Chicken Bao Bun & Blackened Shrimp appetizers.
Oh my god!! I swear, they have the absolute BEST jerk chicken I've ever tasted. Perfectly grilled/smoked and flavorful and just the right spice, on a soft steamed bun. The blackened shrimp was also phenomenal with great char and served atop jerk sauce and tropical fruit to complement the heat & sweetness.
The gentleman who served us (our bill said his name was Jims D) what a great conversationalist. We talked about the history of the place and how they are working to get their liquor license (which is taking quite a bit of time with the city, btw). We were having about the food and he mentioned another dish they were cooking up, which included this amazing cheezy/garlicky mashed potatoes. Tasted like it had both regular & sweet potatoes. If we weren't already so full, we would've got some to go!!

They were accommodating with a broad GF menu and ALL of the food was fantastic!

She warned him that the egusi might be spicy and asked if that was okay. He said yes, because we can usually handle some heat… but we were not prepared for that level of spice 😂. That said, the flavor was incredible.
