“We went here three times yesterday. Yes, three times. We were at an event around the corner and were able to walk over. We ate at 5 of the venders. All were fabulous. Mushroom burger, paneer wrap, avocado toast, curry fries, focaccia, street corn, and ice cream. All the staff were so kind and engaging. It was easy to find many GF options too. Just wish there would have been more heater lamps since it was cold.“

Im so thankful to have found Sweet Emotion! I recently purchased the espresso brown sugar gluten free cookie and the gluten free cosmic brownie. They were both incredible, soft, full of flavor, and most importantly safe foods! We purchased the chocolate ice cream with caramel and it was so tasty, soft, creamy, and full of flavor. He has a son that has a gluten and dairy allergy and his one request for his birthday this year was a key lime pie that he could share with his son. That was not an easy task to locate. Even though it is not something they offer on their menu, Mud Pie Bakery was willing to do a special order for a gluten free, dairy free key lime pie and I must say, we were blown away! It was delicious! The crust was delicious, the filling was tangy, and the whipped topping was sweet and balanced everything else out! Not only that, but it looked beautiful! The best part is that my boyfriend's son got to enjoy a sweet treat that the rest of the family was having and that is something that rarely happens, due to his dietary restrictions! This is one of the restaurants that brings me back to my childhood roots. The spices and seasonings will hit you delightfully in the face upon entering. The lights here are subtle and elegant with mood lighting enhancing the experience. This is authentic food so anyone looking for an “Americanized” menu for their palette it will not be found here.

Professionalism is not an issue here. Delightful conversation and attentive.

I have seen large groups of 9+ here so the location is accommodating on groups.“

I do notice a change in the attitude of the staff since about later 2025.

This may be because of any number of things. Around October 22 or 23 there were two bank robberies,first 1:30pm in Waldo area US bank Gregory Boulevard and Wornall Road-last one at 3:30pm a block away UMB Bank 49th & Main Street.

While the wait staff is excellent in a leisurely lunch, yet highly attentive; the sales staff are aggressive as soon as I am finished with the meal.
Even if I go to purchase a special treat not having a meal, and I want to shop. Also the price of chocolate treats were around $97.00 a pound for liquor chocolate truffles in February 2026!I don’t even look at the truffles anymore ( prices may fluctuate but I have noticed it’s unlikely prices go down).
