“We’ve been regulars here for years and for good reason. The facility is impressively clean, and the service is some of the best in town—friendly, attentive, and fast.
I’ve tried a bit of everything: the lunch specials (Shrimp/Combo), soups, and Lo Mein. The food is consistently delicious, well-portioned, and very fairly priced. The egg drop soup is my favorite in town. If you're looking for fresh food and a team that actually cares about their customers, this is the place. This is not a buffet but individually prepared dishes. You will find a favorite.“

“We have been going to Lotus Hot Pot since it opened. Anytime we crave hot pot we head that way all the way from Independence. Restaurant is always clean, service is great and food is delicious! Hannah always makes sure to come out and greet her guest and Lina gives amazing service with a smile. Love the new all you can eat menu, just the right amount of serving (not like other places) and when you need more just order more!“

“I don't live in Independence anymore, but even from the West Coast where Asian cuisine is supposed to be top notch, I still think about Golden Rice almost everyday. I love their chicken, and their green beans are so damn good that I forget how much I hated green beans as a kid. Like... I HATED green beans.
I'm visiting soon, and I'm going to make it a point to visit this time.“

“9.6.24
Drive through only. I appreciate that. This is probably the best Chinese food I've ever had. The orange chicken is top notch. The chicken is good quality, no gristle pieces that usually come in Chinese food. The rice is so flavorful, it's even a yellowish color like it's cooked in something. My new favorite spot.“

“I have to say my family ordered tonight 5/8/2026 and it is the best “fast foodish” dinner I have ever had. Everyone in my family loved the food. We have been eating here for years and tonight was hands-down the best I’ve ever eaten there. Don’t get me wrong. The food’s always good quality but tonight there was just something about tonight‘s food. That was really really good. I had sweet and sour shrimp extra crispy and it was the best.“

“I stopped here on the way back to Iowa. Parking was a bit tight because I was in an RV, but I managed. You can't go in to eat. You can walk up or drive thru. I walked up of course. He quoted the food would be ready in 15 minutes, which seemed a bit long. But it was actually ready in about 10 minutes. The food was phenomenal. I ordered Mongolian beef and Kung Pao chicken. Both were fantastic. I highly recommend this place.“

“It was DELICIOUS. Seriously the best crab rangoons ive ever had. And its VERY fairly priced. The meals are big enough for 2 people to share and still have leftovers. I live in Arkansas but the next time I come back to KC I will be returning.“

“I’ve been coming here for years and it’s constantly been my favorite Asian food based buffet. It’s nothing fancy but always tasty, always clean and I’ve always had great service!“

“Typical strip mall Chinese Restaurant as far as appearance goes; but the food is always hot, plentiful, well seasoned, well prepared, good value for your money. Great Hot and Sour Soup!! One of my favorites there. Great owners, always polite and always has her smile on! This is a long time Parkville staple. Thank you!“

“I’ve been eating at this restaurant for as long as I can remember and the food is phenomenal. The staff are kind and polite. I have many fond memories of meals with my family here at this place when I was a child and now I have shared this place with my own family and they are hooked, too.“

“Bo Lings is one of those places that became one of my top favorites after one little bite. Their cashew chicken is genuinely one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything tastes super fresh, the flavors are unique compared to a lot of other Chinese spots around town, and somehow it is always consistent every single visit and that helps it also feel like comfort food.
The staff has always been super kind to me, and even when they’re busy the food still comes out delicious and hot. It's definitely on the pricier side, but honestly this is one of those places where you can taste what you’re paying for.
A couple things to know before going: the building can get a little warm during hotter months, and parking is kind of chaotic. There are only a couple of pickup spots up by the doors, otherwise you’re usually parking along Zona street parking or trekking over from near Dick’s. Still absolutely worth the little walk once the food hits the table.“

“My favorite Kansas City Chinese restaurant since 2009! Excellent service, delicious food every time, wonderful people. We try to come here as often as we can when we’re in town. KC friends- if you’ve never been, go! 😌“

“So it has become a thing for my family to get Chinese on our way out of town when visiting places. This one honestly looked kinda sketchy, but that's kinda a sign your in the right place. Once you walk in it look quite a bit better, nothing special by any means. Lots of booths and seating/tables... Obviously your about to sit down to eat (usually). Unfortunately we didn't stay we got takeout as our flight was leaving soon otherwise we would have had a seat ourselves. They have a lot of food options! The buffet was very budget friendly but it looked like it didn't exactly have tons of options. That being said we looked it over and I probably would have gotten the buffet if we stayed. The food that they had at the buffet looked and smelled amazing. If we make it was back to Kansas City we will most likely come back for another visit.“

“Wow! We have eaten here many times and been very delighted with the food. Today however was a different story. This is the first time we have ever ordered on a Sunday. Maybe the lower quality was because they were trying to use up food because they are closed tomorrow? We ordered general's chicken chicken lo mein and egg rolls. The egg rolls were obviously reheated in the microwave and so chewy that we could not even invite them. The chicken lo mein was awful. I guess the low main part was okay but the chicken tasted like chicken that had been in someone's refrigerator for three or four days and been reheated. Although the general's chicken the chicken was good, you could not even bite through the onions and the broccoli was hard as a rock. Because we have had good prior experiences I will try to order here again but maybe not on a sunday?“

“We live about 10 minutes away and this has become our favorite local takeout spot. The sesame chicken is my daughter’s favorite, my husband always gets the chicken skewers, and I switch between the General Tso’s and Kung Pao. It’s always good, portions are big, and the staff remember our faces now which is nice.“

“Food is great! Service is mediocre at best, almost makes you not want to order from there. Never a friendly smile when picking up food, spent over $80 and the owner tried to charge me for extra sweet and sour sauce while giving me one small cup for 5 meals.“

“Their pork egg foo young is excellent. A single order feeds two people generously. Egg foo young is sort of a Chinese-American omelet made with eggs, vegetables (like bean sprouts, cabbage, and scallions), and a protein (such as pork, shrimp, or chicken). It's pan-fried into a patty or pancake and typically served with a savory, slightly sweet, and tangy brown gravy.“

“I slept on this place for so long because I tried a dish that didn't compare to my usual spot. Now this is one of my usual spots because the general tso chicken is so dang good. I like mine to be less sweet and they do that here. They're also so nice and friendly. Love their lunch special.“

“excellent food! Some of the best Chinese takeout I’ve had in this area. They have a different take on the pork fried rice. It’s not roast pork. They cook the pork differently, giving the rice a altogether improved flavor. I went basic with the chicken wings and they are to die for. This place is a hidden gem.“

“Hands down the BEST Crab Rangoon you'll find anywhere!! Not bland at all!! And the fried rice is amazing! They actually give you extra broccoli if you ask! Sorry but everywhere else we've tried I've never received the extra broccoli when I ask! You won't regret ordering or eating in from here!“

“First time there. Ordered pork lomein, it was decent, full of flavor and the fact it had broccoli was a plus. My only thing was it was the tenderloin style pork, and I prefer the regular sliced/strip meat. The portion size was very good, enough for at least 2 or 3 meals. Next time I will try the fried rice.“

“This place totally surprised us. It’s a little hole in the wall, but the food is seriously amazing. Ordering online was super easy, and they even have a rewards program where you earn free food. We spent a little over $50 and got a free 6-piece crab rangoon, which was awesome.
I got the general tso’s chicken and it was crispy and flavorful. The crab rangoons were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the lo mein was garlicky in the best way.The dinner combos are a great deal, around $10–$15 depending on substitutions or add-ons. You get a protein, rice (or small upcharge for lo mein), a spring roll, and a crab rangoon all in one. Everything was hot, fresh, and came out fast even though they were busy when we ordered.
The staff was nice and gave great service, which made a really good first impression. My only small complaint is that the dinner combo didn’t come with any veggies, so I’d recommend adding a veggie side. Not sure if other dishes come with them though.
Overall, this place was amazing and definitely deserves 5/5 stars. It was our first time trying it and we’ll for sure be back!“

“Best sushi I have found in all of KC, went to some recommended spots that were expensive, tiny portions, lack flavor and rice that was mush, always end up back at Me. Le's, I would eat here more but they take time off between lunch and dinner and my mid shift job has lunch at 2pm.“

“The BEST Asian restaurant in the Northland! The food is absolutely amazing—every dish we’ve tried has been outstanding. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and the attention to detail is top-notch. You have to try the crab wontons—they’re a must! We just had the Tokyo crispy chicken, and it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Honestly, I haven’t had a single thing here that I didn’t love. Chris, the owner, always greets us with a warm smile, and he and his staff make you feel truly welcome every time. Exceptional food, outstanding service, and such a friendly atmosphere—Saki is hands down our favorite spot!“
