One of the best Chinese places I've eaten at. The manager works very hard and the food is delicious. The manager can be blunt and assertive at times, but growing up in an Asian family, I'd say that's just a part of the 'Asian Experience' ?, so be patient with her.
I’ve lived in Hyde Park for about three years now and I love going to Peking for dinner. Usually I do takeout, but I dined in with my boyfriend this time. The beef and snow peas were awesome and the owner even gave me extra rice to go with it when she boxed up my meal. The folks who own Peking are very hardworking and welcoming.My only criticism is that the clear table mats at Peking need replacing since they are so old and probably too difficult to clean properly nowadays,...read full review

I love the entire vibe of the place! My food was fantastic and the little lady that runs the place was so nice. I have no idea why everyone thinks she's rude. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Kansas City.
