You have to try the crab wontons—they’re a must! We just had the Tokyo crispy chicken, and it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Honestly, I haven’t had a single thing here that I didn’t love. “The new owners are outstanding. We come here at least once every two weeks, more like every week. Their crab Rangoon is the best any of us have ever had (group of 4-5 always). Their steamed dumplings are fantastic. Service is always friendly and fast. We order a lot of food - typically 3 orders of crab Rangoon (for extras), steamed dumplings, at least 2 orders of beef and broccoli and other cantonese dishes. Every dish we’ve ordered is the best Chinese food we’ve found in MO or KS. My husband always gets a soup, the wonton soup with the chili sauce was his favorite. He says the hot n sour soup is also amazing. Orange chicken, honey chicken, Mongolian beef, beef lo mein - seriously amazing. This place should be much busier than we see it!“

“My family has eaten here for 20 years. We started when my daughter was less than a year old. There are still a couple of servers there that greet us and remember our kids. They always ask about them if they’re not with us. The food has always been the best Buffet we have found. Always full and love the flavors and variety. We’ve tried other places and nothing compares for the price. Very reasonable and trying to feed a family while eating out.“

“The Mongolian beef is amazing the onions are perfectly caramelized(there is a lot of onions so if not your thing maybe don’t get it) the beef is flavorful, juicy and tender. I got the food I a decent time ≈10min. Personally I didn’t really like the egg roll but I’m satisfied“

“My family and myself frequently order from China Dragon. We very much enjoy the food and dishes that they offer. My personal favorite is the Wonton Soup paired with steamed or fried dumplings and an order of Crab Rangoons. I would also like to mention the swiftness of the restaurant, they have always had our orders out very quickly and the staff is very friendly.

“Always enjoy Panda, but it still bothers me that they don't either cut the vegetables & teriyaki chicken smaller or at least have knives avail. Also wish their Rangoon actually had crab or even imitation crab in it instead of just cream cheese.“

“Other than a colossal problem with grubhub (what a pain).... we loved the meals. We all ordered off the special anytime meal menu and all received separate dinners. The food tasted great but we really wanted it delivered and ended up picking up the dinners in person. They were hot and very tasty.“

“My wife and I found this place back in 2011, when we lived a few blocks away... but still drive across town to enjoy their food. Some of the best Chinese we've had in KC in this price range. Atmosphere is only a half-notch above your typical strip mall fare, but service is always great, and the food is consistently good.

UPDATE: We stopped by last week after a long time (we live on the other side of town)... food is still excellent. Talked to the owner for a bit, and it's obvious she and her husband are working very hard to take care of their customers.“

“I took a chance on the Lucky Garden for catering a party for 80+ in DeSoto, and I am glad that I did! Charles, the manager, was a delight to work with. He gave solid opinions and did a good job estimating our food needs for a group that size. The food was HOT and tasty! The Teriyaki Chicken and Crab Rangoon were delicious! The General Tso's Chicken and Lo Mein were also a hit. The Lucky Garden met also our needs for gluten-free meals (Chicken & Veg and Singapore Rice Noodles), which was a big plus. Charles worked back and forth with me to make sure that we had enough food and that we were within my budget. When my manager requested an item we hadn't considered, he went back and reworked his estimate to make sure we could make it work. We compromised on delivery, and I picked up the meal, but he did a great job estimating what it would take to get the food delivered (two vans) and brought out all 24 pans of food himself. Charles, also followed up to make sure that event went well, which was a nice extra touch. I would be happy to work with him and the Lucky Garden again, given the opportunity.“
