The food was amazing. They did a great job and the server was very attentive to all our needs.Went out for my birthday and I’m very glad that I did.They did good on the ribs and they’re about three dollars cheaper than most places for a full rack of ribs.Also the spinach artichoke dip was amazing.Will definitely be going back!

The food was overcooked. We were very hungry so we ate it. We paid with cash. Our server decided to tip herself out of the change she gave back to my husband. She said, "I don't have the rest." It was NOT a good experience. We will not be visiting this location again.

We waited an hour to get a table for 4 adults and 5 children ... Once at the table it was another 30mins to see anyone to get Our drink orders by that time we put our appetizers in at the same time ... It took 15-20mins to get Our drinks ... Another 20mins to get Our appetizers... We actually gave our food orders before we got the appetizers ... Our appetizers came but we had spinage dip and also queso dip plus salsa but we didn't have enough chips and we had to get more but it was 15-20mins before we got more chips and the dips were cold and they literally gave us crumbs that couldn't be used to dip ... Our food came out cold and we had ordered steak and shrimp got an old swiveled up steak that was cold ... No shrimp ... We had shrimp and baked potatoe w coleslaw and shrimp and potatoe was cold ... 1 of the children ordered grilled cheese and they didn't get that out to us for 15mins after everyone else got their food ... I had to go to the hostess for Our drink refills ... 1 order of chicken strips for the children for my 5year old Grandson was trying to get a hair out of his chicken strips but didn't realize that he shouldn't have to get a hair out of his chicken strip when we took it from him ... It was just one disaster after another one ... Our family eats at Cheddar's often in Springfield and love it but this one in Independence was nothing like the one in Springfield Mo ... We are hoping that they were caught off guard and were busier more than usual because it was very disappointing to say the least ... We still tipped the waitress because we are praying she was new or the kitchen didn't work to her advantage but we seen very lil of her for refills or getting ALL of Our food at the same time ???

I really enjoyed going to Cheddars! We got sat pretty quick with having a reservation! The staff was friendly and very patient with our 15+ group! They stayed on top of our drinks and got our food out so fast! Everything was fresh and delicious! I had the creamy garlic tilapia & shrimp with steamed broccoli and carrots. My wife had the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and buttered corn. I would recommend Cheddars to anyone looking for a family-friendly restaurant with great food and decent prices! ?
