Chick-In Waffle (Independence)

The cleanliness was poor which affected the overall atmosphere. Friends and I went there for the first time. No other customers there. The rest room was not clean. Toilet paper on the floor, trash can full, the sink not draining g well. The floor in the whole restaurant was sticky. Especially the hall to the restroom and in the restroom as well. With it being so not busy, these areas should be checked often and cleaned.

I normally order the Asian chili wrap and it is generally very good. Today it was actually exceptional with just the right amount of pickles and Asian chili sauce. Whoever built this one today did a great job. When looking at the front of the wrap the very first bite contained cheese, a pickle, and a nice tender chicken strip covered in just enough Asian chili. The amount of pickles in this wrap is critical and they surpassed my expectations today. I know this seems like a strange review but pickles are very important to me. Support this place. No regrets. Pickle on my friends

The food is okay but very overpriced. At least for strips. I ordered this yesterday via DoorDash and got food poisoning, not worth it at all.

Always phenomenal, always enough food that you don’t leave hungry. The fries are the best around and the chicken is better. One of the fastest made fresh places to eat. Staff is always on point and friendly.

We came here when it first opened and had a good experience so came back today. Unfortunately they missed the mark and we don’t have any desire to come back.

It started with a poor customer service experience. The cashier didn’t smile, barely spoke, seemed annoyed with our questions, didn’t have a friendly bone in his body. Maybe he doesn’t love his job, but maybe don’t be in a position where you interact with people? The food can be good, but I have a hard time returning to places with poor service.

Sadly, the food wasn’t even good. Mediocre at best. The menu had changed and was difficult to navigate. You can’t just add a side, you have to add a drink and their selection was awful. Only one diet option and tea wasn’t fresh brewed. The tiny ketchup packets were annoying and no one offered sauce so we weren’t sure how that worked. We also didn’t realize we had a choice in waffles, no one asked. The employee was basically doing the bare minimum.

The chicken lacked flavor. Fries were soggy. Butter was so cold it was impossible to spread. Syrup wasn’t even warm. If you’re looking for good chicken & waffles, this place just isn’t it. And it’s way overpriced for the quality.

Lastly, while we waited at our table I scanned the rewards code on there just to see what their loyalty program was about…it opened up a page saying their rewards program is inactive. Ooook? Maybe don’t promote it then.

Went there yesterday for to go order haven’t ate all day looking forward to trying it again, spicy honey one was not made well fries were undercooked chicken was undercooked gave me the runs bad should have known something was wrong because food came out too fast less then 5 minutes but wasn’t trying to second guess it couldn’t even eat all of it had to throw it away only my second time at this location first time was good ordered it online no problem food was good now this, won’t be coming back at all this location $50 on food just to get diarrhea
