Cold Stone Creamery

Had it for the first time two nights ago, it will be one of my go to ice cream places from now on. I had the peanut butter cup perfection, it was sooo good. Very nice staff too. I was already having a bad night so the ice cream and nice staff were a great pick me up :-)

The ice cream was good, but the store holy moly! It was disgusting. Looking up at the ceiling was horrifying, the amount of dust and grossness was disturbing. One of the female employees also put her hair behind her ear and immediately threw on gloves and began serving customers without washing her hands. Not a great experience.

The ice cream here is amazing, as it always has been. If all you care about is ice cream quality, this is the place. Service and setting? Declining every year. We have come here with different groups of people over the past couple weeks and I have noticed quite a bit. To start, there is a woman working here who I have to assume is a manager because she is incredible at what she does and clearly passionate about the job. Giving detailed recommendations, great customer service skills, and working at a fast pace to ensure needs are met and that things are getting done. She was not working today.

Instead we received minimal expression and a working pace that caused the ice cream to melt before it got to my hands. The passion was missing, and the customer service skills were non existent.

As for the shop itself, not impressed. Their counters (visible to all) were left dirty with ice cream and waffle cone batter all over the place. There was even a giant bowl of batter left sitting and unattended for the entirety of our dine in visit. Additionally, it was HOT in this place. I understand we are in a heat wave currently, but the AC in the ice cream shop should be a top priority. They could at least run the two ceiling fans instead of leaving them turned off.

Always a good time with family. The ice cream is tough to beat.

We had a surreal experience at cold stone in independence last time . we went in preety late for our icecream there but they had already taken their icecream out for closing as they were already closed but there was a young man there who said even though we are closed anyone who comes inside our door we will not let you go without icecream and him with 2 young ladies there took all icecream out and made all icecreams for us. i felt so bad for them so i had to write this review to tell them thank you guys if you guys see it. i have never had that experience in my life from a customer service person. Awesome

My wife and daughters love this place so we drive from lee summit to independence just for icecream sometimes . This was the first time i saw this place well staffed (no tired and dejected faces of workers) and the people working here right now are extremely humble and excited to help rather than the lady manager and people who were here last time we came in. So well done guys, Keep it up.

My wife and I live in Grandview, but when we visit our daughter who lives in Lee's Summit. Sometimes we take the extra trip out to Cold Stone after a great visit! We noticed sometimes at this location the servings are smaller than at other locations. So this time we bought the largest container on the counter. There's no listed volume or weight rating on the Oval ice cream container. It held 5 cups of water after we emptied it. See the picture, we posted it is short filled by one cup.

I ordered a birthday cake through their app to be delivered at 7pm two days in advance. I called that morning to make sure they had the delivery. Around the time of delivery I tracked the delivery on the app and saw 2 drivers show up to the store and leave without the cake. Finally the 3rd driver called and said the store doesn’t have the cake. After spending 30min on the phone with the delivery driver while the store employee spoke with the manager over the phone they found the cake incorrectly decorated (said Congratulations instead of happy birthday with wrong toppings) and asked if I still wanted it. Not having another option, I accepted. At the end of the day I got my cake 1.5 hours late, without the incorrect toppings, and felt obligated to tip the delivery driver extra money for his time waiting. The store did not offer me anything to make it right. This was a $40 cake….

Crew on 4/15 in the evening were awesome sang happy birthday to my grand daughter. Thank you for making her birthday evening special.

Ice creams good, but trying to get it is very time consuming. Too slow. Go somewhere else if you want faster service. We waited 38 minutes in line. We were only 6th in line. Andy's you have it in 5-8 minutes even on a busy day. Sonic, same. Other ice cream places around 5 to 10 minutes. This place isnt worth the wait.

Exceptional customer experience! It tastes like kicking the bowl after baking a cake!

Friendly staff and lots of options. Loved that they had a dairy free option available.
