Be prepared for large portions of real good food. Our threesome ordered a large DIXON's chili ( great, and too much for me to eat), and the foot long chili dog ( big enough for three people and covered with delicious hot dog chili and all the fixins).
Prices were reasonable and the service was good too.
I am glad that my drive up here to KCMO was only 150 miles ( from Carthage, MO). I can stop by every month.

Been coming to Kansas City for many years, and always have barbecue. I know one of the owners from Pappy's smokehouse in St Louis, and when I mentioned I was heading back to KC he said I should try this place. It did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and good. I got the regular chili with some onions, sour cream, and the jalapeno relish. And I tried one of the tacos.

The only thing that didn't make it an outstanding experience was the waitress....

Came from Colorado and to Dixons for pregame grub. Found it on Google with good reviews and thought I'd give it a try. I had the chili in its own juice over a tamale with cheese, onion, and sour cream. Sweet tea for a drink. I was not disappointed. Chii tastes homemade, and the service is quick and friendly. Portions are filling even for a big guy like me.

It's definitely recommended if you are in town before the game or if you want some legit chili...
