Good sandwich but this was the first time I've ever received old room temperature fries from any Gates location. Also, this is my first time at the Independence location since the old one burned.
The atmosphere reminds me of being in a Perkins or Denny's compared to what I expect from Gates. I realize that some customers may appreciate the difference offered at this location but it's not for me.

They sent me the wrong order. I called to tell them and they hung up on me without giving me an answer. Damn, what terrible service! The manager called me on the phone and didn't care. Awful service, I don't recommend it. Abusive and bad service.

As much money as a sandwich costs I was expecting better quality. Requested Turkey double decker thin as. What i got was all the ends, tough and hard to chew. I have never tasted turkey as salty and unappealing. Contrasting between thick end pieces and little bits of shredded left overs. Horrible experience.

The independence location hooked me up right before closing. Sandwich and fries were good and hot. I appreciate that, thank you to the whole staff. A true Kc legend

Ordered a $16!! Short end and it was short like 3 ribs.. $16 for 4 1/2 tiny ribs $7.50 for a tiny cup of cold beans and $6.75 for half cooked half a plate of fries!! $32.76 no drink one person and slow as hell.. on top of all that they “Gste” keep their sauce.. place has gone down hill so bad since covid!! Sad been eating here for 40 plus years never coming back..
