Hy-Vee Market Grille

Went to the Market Grill for lunch (23rd street location). After waiting 45 minutes for my chicken salad I finally had to ask for it to go. The bartender said there was only one cook and it took a long time to cook chicken. There was only two tables including mine in the restaurant. And the other table left to order their food at the cash register outside of the restaurant.
My mom's sandwich was SUPER greasy and the fries weren't very hot. My salad was FULL of lettuce, a few pieces of chicken and about three croutons with a couple small bitesize pieces of burnt bacon. It only came with a very small container of dressing that didn't even cover half of the salad. If you're on a time restraint definitely don't go! It's sad because the Market Grill has a chance to be great but it's not.

Stopped at this store last night for steak dinners. Hope you like your steak extra rare! Ran out of steaks so this is what they served! Line when I arrived and 3X as long when I left. Entire process needs work! Won't be back next week!

I had some time to kill, so I thought I would try out Market Grill at the Independence Hyvee. There were maybe 8-9 people in there when I came in and the bartender/server. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries. The service was good. I had a tea and she offered a refill in a to go cup which was nice. The meal didn’t take too long to come out. Sadly, the fries were over done, as well as, the burger and bacon. Thankfully the flavor of burger and fries was good.

Good food and kids eat free. You do order next to the restaurant and they bring it to you.

Vegetarian options: I got a vegetarian skillet.

Kid-friendliness: Kids eat free.

I purchased a dozen Red Roses for Valentines Day and what they delivered were not Red… instead they were a Orange Coral. DO NOT RECOMMEND this location for flowers unless you want the left overs. I ordered these last week in plenty of time and what she got was ORANGE ROSES?!? WTH….

You can try not selling four packs for considerably higher than four individual cans of the same product. Why would I pay two dollars more for a shrink wrap?

We visited three different stores between yesterday and today and this Hyvee was the ONLY one with the PRETTIEST PERFECT ROSEBUDS AND BABY BREATH bouquets EVER! My bf was able to make my Valentine's Day early!

Had some downtime while my vehicle had tire work done next door, so I stopped into Hy-Vee Market Grille for lunch. I was one of 3 people in the restaurant but the waitress was very attentive and took good care to make sure I enjoyed my visit. The burger I ordered was truly delicious - very well-cooked, fresh and juicy. I had ordered tots with it, but she returned to tell me they were out of Tots per the chef - no problem, fries were fine. A few minutes after my burger came, the chef came out with hot tots telling me she had found some.Delightful experience made possible by staff who very obviously take pride in their job. I'll be back!

My favorite place to shop! Your food is fresh, and they have the best meats and seafood in town. The staff is also extremely helpful.

I live in texas, and ordered my mother flowers for Mother’s Day to be delivered the day before. The arrangement was poor, does not look like $75 worth and my mother said when they were delivered… looks like they had fallen over on the drive. This picture below is after she tried to fix the arrangement to show me so I wouldn’t be so angry!!! The other picture she sent me, my mother believes is the decorative lettuce used as a filler!

Had a wonderful experience this afternoon at the store. The employees behind the counters and the cashier were super friendly and nice. You can’t hardly find that in customer service these days. I was truly impressed!
