Great atmosphere and the food was DELICIOUS! If you are ever in Independence Missouri stop in and try the Louis Armstrong burger!

So pleased to have Jazz here in the Independence area! My husband and I have visited twice over the past 2 months and each time found the food, service, atmosphere to be excellent. The prices are quite reasonable for the large quantities of food with each dish. We generally share an order (neither of us are heavy eaters), and still have leftovers. An added bonus is the live music which we haven't experienced in years since the Jazz in Lee's Summit closed its doors. So, if you enjoy Cajun, Creole, or great food and low prices in a relaxed atmosphere we recommend Jazz restaurant!

Came in from Dallas to host a birthday dinner tonight for my mom and the food was great! Chicken a Lamer and the seafood fettuccine Alfredo were so good! Our waitress, Aso, was amazing and so attentive! Great experience!

It took us 15mins to get seated we were there around noon. Food took another 45 mins. Server was attentive. I got the chicken special it was delicious. Chicken was moist n juicy. Rice and veggies were delicious. Blackened shrimp poboy was delicious

First time trying Jazz Louisiana Kitchen in Independence. Food was fantastic as usual! Service was a little slow but seemed to be short staffed. Server was excellent and new her stuff. Definitely going back!

My husband and I came in for lunch and CJ was our Waitress today, she was Amazing ? As always Great food and Service!!

Came in on a Tuesday afternoon and CJ was the server. Amazing food and great fun uplifting conversation! Perfectly paired a run runner with Chicken ALa Mer and mmmm the bread! Good stuff. I’ll be back!

Server was excellent, food was excellent, place was clean, live band. ... only flaw: wait time (not the restaurants fault they're popular ??‍♂️), and the menus were dirty. Haven't been? Go here. Hopefully you'll have a similar experience. Great job yall?

This location was the best restaurant I’ve been to in a very long time!! The service was outstanding, and the food was incredibly delicious! Our server Amanda was such a sweetheart and an incredibly kind, caring and attentive young lady. I couldn’t have picked a better place to go eat for New Years Eve. The live music was really nice and relaxing to the ears after a very long day! Great job tonight everyone for making our evening enjoyable and blessed. Thank you. ❤️

It's been a couple of years since I've been to Jazz. So when we came back here, it was nostalgic. The atmosphere was positive, the staff were friendly, and the food was beyond awesome. I can't wait to come back and try the gumbo.

So the manager served my food on a plate that had 6 chips on the plate. I asked our server to speak to her after looking at it for a few min. I explained the issue and she just stood there and stared at me With a blank look after I showed her the destroyed plate and offered nothing. She only stated “I’ve told the guys in the kitchen about this” and “ I will tell the kitchen manager again” That was it. No remake or compensation. Absolutely unacceptable on a dish that was $20. Practically cut myself on one big chip. I was concerned a piece of plate was in my dish so I boxed up and took it home just for good measure. Low and behold, found a piece of plate in my food. Cmon Papa Vic. You used to have quality control. Doubt I’ll go back anymore. Too bad, been a staple in my life for years.

I had just had a 10 out of 10 visit at the jazz! Our server Peyton was perfect. We usually experience great food and bad service or bad food and great service but never both it seems lately. We were pleasantly surprised and there were absolutely no errors on Peyton‘s part he did everything perfectly! The food As always was amazing. Highly recommend! management was great…service was great… food was great…will not be disappointed!

Great portions for the price. Food hot and fresh. Server was great. Atmosphere was very Jazz festive.
