Hey food connoisseur here. Food was Bussin!
Just moved from 515. Decided to grab Chinese for New Year’s Eve. First time trying this place.
Got shrimp fried rice with beef. Taste was on point, egg rolls and crab Rangoon delish.

I stopped in today for Happy Family. The best I've had in a very long time.

We ordered 2 Happy Family meals for carry out. The food was ready and warm. Unfortunately the flavor was blah and didn’t have enough sauce. No flavor at all. Yes, something has changed here and not for the better.

The garlic chicken and the beef and broccoli are spot on. I enjoy King Wok and the people who work there. King Wok is diffently my favorite.

Looks like your typical hidden-in-the-corner-of-a-seedy-strip mall Chinese takeout joint, but the family that runs it seems to really understand what people deserve when they come in to spend their hard-earned. It was Friday right before closing time, and everything was fresh and delicious. What was strange though, is that the fried rice looked like steamed white rice with the extra stuff, but it was actually FRIED RICE with tons of flavor. Same with the chicken mei fun - the noodles and the chicken just looked white and boiled, but the dish was well seasoned and outstanding! I’m not sure why this isn’t more common preparation.
I think it’s a Midwest thing, but the egg foo yung has the meat choice in the sauce instead of cooked first, and then fried with the fritter. Maybe they’ll read this and break some new Jackson County ground. I’d like to see these folks open a new sit-down restaurant with tons of class and ambience. A real destination place.

Went in late tonight and everyone was so warm and welcoming. The food was the best Chinese I’ve had since I moved to KC area. The counter guy who was super cool suggested the Mei Fun noodles and I was glad I took his recommendation. Not any atmosphere to speak of other than the friendly service, but if you just want quick, good, Chinese takeout it’s a solid option. Will absolutely be in our rotation.

Sad to say...this place changed. Used to eat here weekly/biweekly. The general tso being one of my favorite. But the sauce changed, it's like pure ketchup and very sweet. The worst part was the chicken. It was 95% breading...I literally had to search for a piece of actual chicken...and I'm not even sure it was chicken. Really disappointed on this one..won't be back... make king wok great again...

I would say the best thing about this place is that they deliver. The soup had a metallic taste and I had to embellish it to make it palatable. It was hot and sour and there wasn't any tofu in it. The vegetables in the szechuan were overcooked and the sauce was runny, and had no flavor, only heat. In fairness to them, their egg rolls and crab rangoon were good. The entree and soup, not so much. Dinner was high priced and lacked quality and substance. I'll probably shop around for my next Chinese takeout.
