Ordered fried rice to go online and received a call shortly after that they can't fulfill a fried rice order. Don't have it on the carry out menu if it's not available, please.

We had Kobe cater for our baby shower that had about 75 guests. The food was fresh, hot and flavorful! Guests raved about the steak and shrimp, and many went back for more. The portions were generous and the owners Shane and Lisa were great to work with. Don’t think twice-have Kobe cater your next event.Kid-friendliness: The kids enjoyed the food just as the adults did

Bad Food and BoundariesThe sushi was genuinely awful and the waitress was just wildly inappropriate with serious boundary issues. First and last time.

This was my first time at Kobe, but my 4th hibachi restaurant. The gold standard, as far as I'm concerned, was Denver's Gasho of Japan, which closed its last location (an amazing, old-fashioned, Japanese farmhouse building) many years ago and is still missed. I haven't found one to compare to it, yet, but Kobe is still good and worth a visit, though I will probably try another place next time I want hibachi. Here are some pros and cons:CONS:* A reservation can still mean a wait. We waited about a half-hour to be seated, despite a reservation made days earlier.* The waiting area was VERY crowded, tight, and uncomfortable. On a nice day people would have stood outside, but this day was too cold. Very early or very late reservations are my suggestion; ours was at the height of a Saturday dinner hour.* The table we ended up at was in a chilly part of the restaurant; you may need a sweater.* I don't think the salad and soup were any more Japanese than I am, and the salad was drowning in what seemed to be a ranch dressing (at least mine was). Tasty, but not what I signed up for.* Very noisy, crowded dining room. Other restaurants I have been to have soothing partitions that break up the space.PROS:* The chef was cheerful and fun. I've seen showier hibachi cooking skills, but we enjoyed this one anyway.* Huge portions of food--you definitely get your money's worth!* The teriyaki chicken had a delicious sauce, and everyone in my party seemed to enjoy all their food.* We were mercifully seated in a far wing of the dining room, which was in view of but separate from the rest of the crowd. It was chilly until the grill got going, but it was much more pleasant over there.* I'm not a sushi person, but if you like it, there is a separate sushi side with less wait and crowd, which is a nice perk to this restaurant.* We had a birthday boy in our party, and the chef made him feel special with a fun shrimp toss.

Dined in on the Sushi side of the restaurant. Prior to visiting I checked their website for a “reservation” option and there wasn’t one. Therefore I didn’t make one for Hibachi. When we got there we were immediately asked if we had a reservation. This was slightly irritating because we would have made one had we known it was highly suggested. Instead of waiting 45 minutes to be seated at Hibachi, we opted to sit for Sushi. It was very crowded and loud throughout the entire building. There was no “waiting area” so everyone was bunched together at the entrance. The service was very slow. Once we finally ordered and got our meal it was wonderful. The Shrimp Tempura was amazing, 10 pieces in our single portion. The Tempura Roll and Tokyo Roll were also tasty. Wouldn’t recommend their Spicy Mayo as it was very different from any other we’ve had before (not good) but the Eel Sauce was fine. Would return for the food.

As always, Kobe's Japanese Steakhouse was an awesome experience. Of course, I had the sushi and fried rice. It was truly edible art. Sorry I didn't get pictures. The teppanyaki chef grilled up great treats for the entire table. Definitely a go-to dining destination.

Took my family to the Longwood restaurant last night 2/724. Seven people. Food was good but the chief did nothing in the way of showmanship. No jokes, No fancy knife or other tinsel antics that you come to expect at Kobe's. The very reason you go there! Extremely disappointed. Will never go back there! It was a Wednesday night and wasn't crowed so being busy was not an excuse! Our bill was over $300. And to make matters worse it was my daughters birthday. Thanks for nothing.

Ok so my family had dinner hibachi/sushi. Hibachi is decent, but I think the sushi was just ok. The salad was dressing with a splash of lettuce. Soup had spaghetti noodles.. weird but my 7 yr old like it. When ordering sushi my son asked for spicy mayo and she replied "NO, I will bring something that you will like better" ummm ok. So I don't think I've ever been refused a condiment before lol. They did not have scallops which I was bummed about. Then a party came in and she was cursing while talking to them which I felt was unprofessional. $230 before tip for the 4 of us. Pricey. I wouldn't mind that if the quality was better. I think I'll try somewhere else next time. ?
