Main Event Independence

Awesome service in the arcade area. Went to bowl, ordered food as well entering names. Apps and family bundle. Waitress kept asking if that was all..I kept adding things (teenage boys with me). Main dish came out within 20-25. When dropped she came and asked if everything looked okay. I mentioned we never got the appetizers. (Wings) when main entree included chicken tender sandwiches. She said “I’ll check” didn’t see her again until for another 15 minutes, asked for refills and watched her tend to other lanes before going filling. Waited another 10 minutes for our appetizer (very hot plate, had been sitting celery was hot even) and not what we ordered. Then another pit stop for her on the other side of the center, still no drinks. Started walking to bar to get refills to her coming back with 3/4 fountain drinks and her saying are we ready for boxes. To which I said “no, we just got the rest of our food”. Came back with last refill. And had to go to the bar area for check and boxes. Mentioned it was not great service, would have ordered more if she would have been more attentive. She then walked up to the bar confrontationally and said in a loud voice “I did ask if you needed anything, and boxes but you said no” and she stomped away. She took boxes to our lane as I was at the bar getting some. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. Being in the service industry myself that is not the correct behavior for any server. Keep your composure until after guest leaves. The attitude and disrespect then she came back after I was able to speak to a manager and was talking loudly about our table to the bartender. Definitely needs more training and an attitude adjustment. No introduction, so I don’t even know her name.

Subject: Urgent: Assistance Required Regarding Bowling Lane Booking Hello, My adult children booked a bowling lane today but were denied entry because they are under 25. They were informed that a refund would not be issued, which I believe is unacceptable and possibly illegal. They even inquired about rescheduling for another day with someone over 25 but were denied that option as well. This policy should have been clearly communicated when the lane was booked online. I request that someone contacts me regarding this matter, as we are not willing to lose $116 due to a lack of communication when booking about this rule. We would like either a refund or the opportunity to reschedule the lane. If we cannot resolve this issue, I will consider seeking legal counsel to address the payments made without receiving the service promised. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your response.

Great place for family fun with a variety of activities to choose from. The food was ok. Drink are good if you tell them not to overload with ice. Although it's a fun great place, it's also somewhat expensive.

Absolutely terrible experience, 75% of the games were either not working, or missing the balls or pieces to be able to play, the VR headsets on several of the machines were broken! Would not recommend anytime soon, very run down!

Why is Noone answering the phone. 30 minutes I been calling. If you are understaffed ok this owner as the merg w Dave and Busters should have enough $$ to pay some teens to answer the PHONE

It was only OK four kids two adults. And to search out someone to answer questions more than once more than twice actually then when it came time to play the games they were so expensive with the game cards were got barely lasted an hour food was mediocre burgers came out burnt. Appitizer was cold... just all over disappointment for our last horah b4 school starts...

Tried to go bowling and the line they have us on was nothing but problems. Made for a horrible night out with the kids.

Do not go to this establishment on the weekends. There’s a whole bunch of little hot teenagers running around my food was horrible and nothing was done to rectify my issue. I will continue to go to Northland Main Event or Olathe. But the Independence location just has too many teenagers running around like it’s the club smoking weed it was a hot mess AND some man punched some woman in the face, the police presence was heavy but still didn’t deter that man from punching that lady in the face. It was just too much!!!

Could definitely be fun but a fight was about to break out at one point with a bunch of teens. they had a few officers at the entrance but I think they should have 2 roaming the busier areas breaking up the congregating groups like we witnessed just didn't feel safe after that. Definitely won't go again on a Saturday night. Maybe sometime during the week will see.

Food took forever and was not very good. The games are fun. Had a lot of fun with my son there. They’re gonna have to up their game on the food and food service.

If I could give them place a No Star I would! I’m absolutely upset with their management. I’ve called 2 days in a row in search for my daughter’s backpack that had a lot of her important things that she needs for “health reasons” that’s she needs to carry with her. Yet I get the same answer.. like they don’t care. My husband is going to try to call again and have them look into the cameras to see who took it. The employee who I spoke to also told me, she remembers seeing it in the party section and that all she can recall. I don’t know but it’s sus. And there should be more accountability and transparency.
Here a picture of her backpack if anyone has seen it. Or can come forward bring it back please and Thank you! It’s her favorite bag that her grandma gave to her and it has important health things she needs.

Spent $50 on game credits and half of the games we tried to play were broken. Although the games were broken, they still took your credits so we ended up losing at least $20 of credits on games we didn’t get to play. When we tried to find employees to help with this issue, there was no one around to speak with. The only employees we could find were the people at the front desk and the line was so long that we didn’t get to speak with anyone. I’m upset at the amount of money lost.

Food is just edible if you can get someone to take your order. Looked for a host to seat us like your signs say but no host to be found. Sat ourselves & waited 15 mins until the girl sitting at the bar on her phone like a customer finally came over to rudely ask what we wanted. I just stood up & ordered from the snack kiosk instead.

The arcade is highway robbery. The fun card is expensive enough without the make believe activation fee.
Then half of the games are out of order, missing necessary parts, dirty, or steal your credits.

Do better main event. Your establishment has about as much charm as a failing pig farm.
