Ordered a shrimp ceviche plate and we will not be back. The shrimp were not deveined. This is a lazy “crappy” oversight that tells me they don't really care. The flavors of everything but the shrimp were perfect. I ate one shrimp, tasted the minerally poo, and went to the bathroom to throw up. My wife and I took the rest to go to be polite. Fed the rest of the huge plate of shrimp to out Shepherd, and with that, we won't be back. This is not a seafood oriented place I can respect, because of sheer laziness and lack of detail.

Stopped in for lunch. Not very busy, but maybe because of all of the construction going in the area. The menu consists of seafood items mostly, with an emphasis on shrimp. Chips and salsa to start were very good. The chips especially. Fresh, warm, and with the right amount of salt. Ordered guacamole. Fresh but a bit on the bland side. Tried the shrimp empanadas. Excellent! Hand made and great flavor. Definitely a must. Then ordered chicken fajitas and the camarones encabronados. Fajitas were pretty good. Lots of bell peppers and onions. Huge plus. The camarones encabronados dish was good, but very spicy. I like spicy dishes. But if you don't really like spicy, be careful. Overall pretty good. I think this place was a Taqueria Mexico prior to what it is now. Might be the same ownership, not sure. But did recognize some of the same staff as before. Will be back as there are so many items that looked worth trying.

Really great seafood in the heart of Kansas City. Highly recommend the octopus mango ceviche tostada. Great service. Only issue? We found the music too loud to enjoy conversaton.

Food was excellent but the service was not. The server was too busy chatting with co workers and forgot my drink from the bar. We had to stop another server to please give us hot sauce. We definitely want to be back in hopes that the service is better.

Wasn't very happy with waitress. Came in for a party which is understandable but when she wasnt doing nothing took her a while to serve. She didn't introduce herself she just came and was like your ready to order without giving us a menu... I wouldn't go back honestly

We are from out of town and we're just heading back home when we decided to stop and both decided, we wanted something with shrimp. We didnt know the area so were unsure because of the location of the restaurant what it would be like. This was the best decision we could have made for seafood options as they have so many different ones the makes it hard to pick because everything looks so good! Extremely authentic food couldn't have asked for better. The staff was extremely friendly. We even messed up our order in order the wrong thing and one of the owners came out and he still allowed us to get the correct dish and did not charge us for the other one which we really appreciate. I got shrimp and octopus ceviche and my boyfriend got a seafood mixture of some kind that came out steaming like a fajita bowl, it was very spicy which he loves!
If you want ooey gooey hot plates of Mexi food like enchiladas, this ain't the place. But they do have good seafood-based Latin dishes. I got the seafood tostada. It wasn't really what I expected-- it was basically a deconstructed tostada. And the topping that normally would be on the shell was more in a chilled salad form. It tasted good, but was just hoping for something different. My friend got one of those big shrimp cocktails that are kind of in a spicy red beer type of beverage. She really enjoyed it.

The ceviche appetizer was good… our waitress wasn’t 🙃 I just wanted to enjoy some good seafood on my birthday but we only got our appetizer and 1 drink before our waitress disappeared for 30min.. we called another waitress over to ask for our check… that’s when she wants to come around and ask if everything was fine 😏.. anyway might try it again hopefully will get better service next time
