Great place to go to for a 1st date or to be out the way! They have a buffet style service, but they control it so I feel its safer. They have an all-u-can-eat type of thing which is really good yo be able to taste several of those delicious, rich AFRICAN dishes! Didn't see any alcohol, but maybe you can bring you own🤷🏾‍♂️. Don't quote me on that! The entire staff & people that were inside were all welcoming! Felt like they want you to come back after we left.

Waaaaay overpriced. $60 for two people with no drinks? No prices listed should be a tell all. It just tasted okay.

I ordered vegetable soup, jollof, and fufu. I will say the prices are steep. The owner let me taste beef suya it was good. The vegetable soup had chicken drumsticks in it, which made it taste like greens. I don't like the taste of Collard or Mustard greens. I asked for mild but the heat of the spice was still too strong for my palate. The jollof was ok. My great review is because the owner was full of life. He is a happy family man who is passionate about his restaurant. The owner provided great customer service. I visited in 12.24.

Ate there last night with five friends. The owner was so welcoming and helpful. He offered to simply bring us a family style meal to help us taste a variety of foods. Delicious, we had samosas, thin beef strips with peppers and onions, and fried dough balls called puff-puffs. Then he brought palm wine, exquisite not too heady only a little alcoholic, but just light enough to compliment the meal along with fried plantains. Then for our mains he brought joffa rice, whitun fish and chicken in a tomato based sauce that was simply divine. A lady across from us had a whole red snapper and offered us some to try so we indulged in that as well. The service was fantastic and a diverse group of patrons made the experience even more enjoyable. My first experience with this type of food but we will definitely be back.

Oh my oh my oh my!!! The greeting was amazing I felt welcome. The service and helpful service with picking the right food I wanted. When i finally got the chance to eat OMG… it was so tender, juicy it just fell apart nicely. Out of the two places I have tried. THIS IS THE BEST!

Call in your order ahead of time! They make everything fresh and it’s the best African food in the city. Any meat option they have is so tender and delicious. I’ve tried many of the different stews and have fallen in love with each one. Incredible service and wonderful food. Be warned it’s so addicting you’ll want to try the whole menu! The staff is wonderful and so kind and helpful with menu items. I recommend this place to anyone.

Good food, nice people, and the environment is also good. Once the road repairs are completed, the parking trouble will ease.

This is a wonderful little place that sits quietly on the corner of a busy area with the best Nigerian food around. Great atmosphere, full of friendly people and did I mention delicious food! He works hard everyday to create dishes from his homeland. I love to see the people that come in so happy and friendly and always full of joy and blessings for each other.

Ordered rice and stew through DoorDash , food came in a styrofoam container, the food was tasteless and the stew was very small in proportion to the quantity of rice. No separate container for the stew and by the time it got to me everything was mixed like crazy!!

My village grill was go to during my time in Kansas for an internship. I can proudly say this authentic Nigerian restaurant kept my stomach full and less sad to be away from home.
My favorite was everything lol, but I always got jellof rice with goat meat/ assorted and nkwobi. They never disappoint! If you’re in Kansas, try my my village grill for that home away from home taste.
