Paleteria El Chavo

We ordered 3 different types of sopes: al pastor, steak and carnitas. The carnitas were the only ones worth eating. The Al pastor was very fatty, and the steak was very salty. My husband usually salts everything, and he was the first to point out that the steak was too salty.
We also ordered a green juice and an orange juice. Both were fresh, the orange juice seemed to have a lot of added sugar.
We probably won’t be back.

very bad service

I have been coming to this establishment with family and friends for years.

I am disappointed with our last visit which resulted in the discovery of a roach located on the wall behind the kitchen prepping area during operation.

The dismay to see staff looking back at us and laughing as if this is an acceptable response baffled us.

No one tried to kill or remove the insect from the establishment.

I'm hoping they have since then exterminated and deep cleaned their place of buisness before servicing the community continued. .

Be careful, safe, and aware!

The woman working the register at night is shockingly inattentive and consistently rude. She even refuses to let customers use the store’s restroom, which is basic courtesy in any service establishment. Her attitude toward people is unpleasant she doesn’t smile, she’s dismissive, and behaves with a level of unprofessionalism that feels almost primitive. It’s astonishing how someone with such poor manners can carry herself with that level of arrogance. Truly disappointing experience. On another note, the food is good, but the employees are always gossiping, and it’s quite unpleasant to witness.

Amazing food! Good quality of meat depending on who is preparing the food, very authentic tasting I give it a 10 out of 10!!. I gave four stars only because some people don't give me as much meat as I would like on my quesadillas

Seems like every time I order online they purposely make my order wrong, but I feel embarrassed to go back and complain.

This place is the only thing I miss about independence. The staff is wonderful! They are always pleasant. Clean as a whistle. Food is soooo good. Has a tv menu. Best ice cream and desserts. Just go in once!

Very slow at making orders took forever and it was an order ahead order prices are so high also..!!!!

chilaquiles were a bit too spicy, but the flavour was great! tortillas were cooked perfectly, eggs were fried nicely, and the asada was seasoned perfectly. gotta love breakfast for dinner!

Some of my favorite ice cream in the whole Kansas City area. The ice cream is HUGE, unique, a fun experience and comparable in price to other ice cream shops that are smaller in size. We love coming in here. A little hidden gem.

The food is awesome. I always get the steak tacos with onion and cilantro, the best! Great, friendly staff

I love love it

I went Saturday afternoon around 7pm for some ice cream . I stood in line and patiently waited. The lady working the counter look me up and down and skip me. Took the person behind me. I didn’t say anything because honestly I mentally didn’t want to argue so I waited for them to take my order next. After they took my order they gave me a number and told me once my order was ready they will call that number. They were calling numbers that has arrived after us. So I stood up and ask what was taking so long since it was just 3 ice creams. She then told me that they were working on it. After a while they had my 3 ice creams but just on their own. They had asked if it was a to go order and I had mentioned that yes it was to go. I had seen with another customer, They had put the ice creams in a drink tray in a bag. They did not do that with my order. They were very mean girl type of energy. Felt super unwelcome.
