Pulled up to the Perkins in Independence expecting pancakes, not excellence, but here we are. Kennedy was our server and absolutely crushed it. Attentive, efficient and friendly. Food was hot, fast, and very tasty. Would 100% come back. Would 100% ask for Kennedy again. The pancake kingdom always hits the spot.

Great food, wonderful service.

Food was seriously so gross. Didn’t get sauce with appetizer or the soup i ordered. At one point the group of employees hanging by the pie case were all staring at us. Super awkward. Pot roast is inedible. Potatoes advertised as real but taste like potato flakes. It was just honestly nasty.

The food was so good! It wasn't very busy when we got there and we got our food very quickly.

Jackie was an amazing waitress. Sweet girl dud a great job. Great good. We will be back.

The menu at Perkins is a delightful exploration of contemporary American cuisine with some intriguing global influences. I started with the a classic Cheese Burger and let me tell you, these weren't your grandma's overcooked onions. They were perfectly caramelized, tender on the inside, and tossed with a sweet and savory glaze that had me wanting to lick the plate clean. For my main course, I opted for the golden brown french fries. These fries were a beautiful golden crust with a tender, almost buttery interior. Every element on the plate was thoughtfully prepared and contributed to a harmonious and incredibly satisfying dish.
We capped off the meal with their Chocolate Lava Cake, which was exactly what a lava cake should be: warm, gooey, and intensely chocolatey.
Beyond the impeccable food, the service at Perkins truly stands out. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making our dining experience exceptional. The pacing of the meal was spot-on, allowing us to savor each course without feeling rushed.
