Pier 88 Boiling Seafood & Bar Independence

me and my family dined in for my nephews birthday, we were a rather huge party but our server Tekyah (“Tete” was what she preferred) was absolutely AMAZING! Her energy was on point from the moment she greeted us! So patient, so attentive and completely made our visit VERY pleasant! We were very satisfied, the food was great, hot and yummy!

Food was great and a great value. Our waitress was super and gave great suggestions.

I have been here several times and the service has always been great, I’m leaving this review because today I had the worst experience. Our waitress was great, when it was time to pay we had an issue with the card so we had to pay with another. Apparently the waiter got upset because we left her a small tip on a large bill. She was on the phone complaining about our tip and didn’t even care that we were standing right at the door, she was cursing and just plain out rude. We usually tip more but like I said we had an issue with our card.. will be coming back but definitely asking for a better waitress.

Food was delicious. Our server recommended the pier 88 boil style and I'm glad she did. It was tasty. Service took awhile though, waitress wasn't in much of a rush. Atmosphere wasn't really my style, they let people sign the walls so some of the writing wasn't the most family friendly.

This place has the perfect seafood boil. We ordered the crab legs and shrimp boil. The portions were definitely large and the service was friendly and prompt. We all agreed that every time we are in kc, we will definitely stop and eat here.

Great food. Tasty. We did the shrimp and crab boil with pier 88 rub and hot for heat level. The eggs are done separately then the boil so there's no flavor.

Absolutely delicious, and an awesome get messy date night meal. Andrea was our server, she was attentive, funny, and sweet as could be! 10 out of 10 would eat here again!!
