Great dining experience at Salvatore’s. Candlelight restaurant experience with excellent customer service and delicious meal. Highly recommended to make reservation ahead of time. In the picture, we ordered Gabriella chicken spiedinis side of fettuccine alfredo, sausage with rigatoni and raviolis and chicken vegetable Italian soup.

This was an excellent find in Kansas City. We sat at the bar conversation was good and the bartender was excellent at recommending what to eat. I had the Rigatoni Angela with a cognac sauce. I think this is the best Italian dish I've ever eaten. Cheryl's was very good also.

We have been going to Salvatore’s for a very long time and have always had great food and service. Last Friday night it was different. Our appetizers were very good. I had the house salad. It was old lettuce, not crispy or fresh, and mostly lettuce and onion. The others I was with ordered Ceasar salads and liked theirs. We waited a long time for our entrees. They were all cold when they came out. The chicken spedini we ordered was supposed be half Samantha and half Diablo sauce. The Diablo was like fresh tomatoes with a little bit of basil not the spicy Diablo sauce I was expecting. Chicken had been a little burned in one side and hard to slice. One ordered the salmon and it was overbooked and sauce was cold. We were disappointed as this is our go to place for Italian and good service. Sorry the food has really gone down in quality.

Bistecca Michael 27 Sliced beef tenderloin char-broiled topped with prawns, served in a white wine lemon butter sauce,with capers, basil, prosciutto ham and fresh mushrooms looked like someone just puked on the plate. This was something different from what I normally ordered. As you can see it sounded good. The presentation as I have said looked like someone just puked it up. The sauce used was very busy.....I will stick to the tour of italy and the hill pasta dish from now on.

I’m glad I’m from out of state because this place would get all my money. We went there Friday night and I’m still drooling about it. I got the melanzane parmigiana and it was SO yummy. The Italian butter is super tasty. I felt like I needed to be rolled out in a wheelbarrow because I couldn’t not eat everything. Our server was super sweet. The music was great and the atmosphere felt very ambient. I would so recommend coming here.
We have been patrons for thirty plus years. The house salad has changed. It was sour. We requested gorgonzola on salads and got feta. The service was slow and we were there for over two hours. Even though there was no Dean Martin or Bing playing. The restaurant was extremely loud.

We ordered takeout. It was really good. Our young host wasn't very familiar with Italian food and he loved the chicken Marsala. Everything was great. It was surprisingly well packaged for transport so non of the sauces leaked in the car. The Mr enjoyed talking with the owner while he waited a few minutes for our food. I'm sorry, I'll never get used to provel but after that meal, I'll be willing to try one of their dishes with it in it. Thank you for a great meal. We will definitely be back.

Food was absolutely fantastic, service was equally as great, and the authentic Italian vibe was spot on!! Frank on the stereo, candlelight on each table, an Salvatore the owner himself greets you and seats you, what more could you ask!!?? What an exceptional place, and the prices are great as well for everything. Will be back that’s for sure!!
