I went today with my family for the community special. We were embarrassed so badly. Myself and my sons were crying.
I'm a disabled veteran and was told to go here by my case manager but I'll eat out the trash first.
My kids ate the bean burrito in the car because we really were hungry. I didn't mind that we didn't get meat. They don't like beans were hungry for real.
Thank you Taco Johns for the sentiment. But your employees suck.

My husband loves the food at Taco John's but this location is slow, they skimp on the ingredients, and they mess up orders. Time before last we ordered our food and when they gave us our bag it was missing 3 items. Last time we ordered it was through door dash. We had ordered 2 orderes of potatoes and 12 tacos, they gave our dasher a bag full of nothing but burritos. When I drove the correct receipt and the wrong food back up all I got was 'oh we'll remake that' no sorry or free item for all my inconvenience. I always go through the drive threw, this time I had to walk in and I found what looks like mold on the ceiling.

Wow really disappointed in this one. Ordered a bean burrito and it was filled with fresh steaming hot dookie. I ate it because I was hungry but y'all think you got jokes huh? Will not be returning to this nasty place.

First of all, my family is very grateful for this business offering the community special as our family has been affected by the government shutdown. We are sincerely appreciative of them offering it, however, the employees seemed to be very annoyed by this. We drive from harrisonville to independence to donate plasma down the street since we are facing hard times and have asked to get the community special for our family on days we donate. The cashiers have noticed us since we asked for it before and they seem extremely annoyed and don’t even talk to us at the window. The restaurant has not placed a limit on how often we are able to come, but we have been once a week. Once again, I’m grateful for the free food in the first place, but the employees make it seem like it’s coming out of their paycheck to make it.
Ordered, then proceeded to wait 35 minutes for our 6pk and a pound. And it tasted like cat food.

The woman who took our order was so sweet and made us feel welcome. They were just trying to close the lobby but allowed us to come in and dine anyways. 10/10 hospitality which was so appreciated after an exhausting day.
