Our waitress was clearly new and inexperienced, so I don't think my experience was typical. She clearly wanted to do a good job and cared, and just needs more training. We had fried mushrooms and a beer. The mushrooms were very good and I'll return just for that. The atmosphere is great, the bar is under ground and some of the walls are rough stone. There are murals and old photographs everywhere, the decor is a blend between historic and kitschy. The caution tape made...
This place really needs a make over. It was good once but recently has suffered. The food (selection and quality) is limited but acceptable. The low ceiling and dark atmosphere seemed quaint at one time but it can be musty in the wrong weather conditions. The service is hit and miss. I've had servers who were very attentive and fun then others who didn't seem to care.
A really cool experience! You enter on the street level and then go down to the basement level. It has a speakeasy kind of vibe with plenty of seating. The food was decent with moderate portions. We were not disappointed.
