Salty is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants.Today's service was great. We sat in the open seating bar area and the bartender was our server. While overwhelmed, she made a great effort to keep everything in resealable time.Today's chips weren't great so we reluctantly asked for a new batch. She was happy to bring a new batch and they were a game changer! Delicious!Two of us can split a 2 item combo for lunch and it's plenty of food. They will even split it for you in the kitchen, which is nice. We usually get an enchilada and a blue taco (ground beef in both). The blue taco at Salty is always hit or miss in cook quality (the shell is either perfect, under-cooked and chewy or overcooked and falls apart in your hand). On this visit, it was perfect! The enchilada, rice and beans are always good.Thank you to our server last Saturday!Salty will continue to be a go to for us.

This was my first time ever going to salty iguana and I honestly will never go back. Everything started off great between getting seated fast and the waiter being extremely nice and fast then went down hill. Ordered our drinks and then the waiter kept forgetting the margarita I had to ask her about it 4 times and finally got it after 20 minutes. My wife needed a refill on her soda and the waiter walked past looking at her empty glass 6 times then once we asked she finally got her a refill. Finally after i was already fed up with this place they brought out our food but said they are working on my daughter’s food( french fries only)so me an my wife decided we would wait before eating. My wifes food looked disgusting and my food was extremely small for $19. My wife decided to touch her food an said the beans was hard and cold so i put my finger in my food an it was cold not even warm. Finally after another 5 minutes waiting for french fries we asked for the manager because we didn’t want the food or to even wait another minute. I will say the manager was understanding and was very professional about the situation so thank you to him.

It was overall an awful experience. We sat down and 10 minutes later, our waitress takes our drink order and we order 2 dr peppers and a margarita fishbowl. It took 30 minutes for our waitress to bring the margarita and she never checked on us or refilled my drink. It took about 40 minutes for them to bring out our food and they only brought out me and my husband’s food and not our daughters food (she only ordered french fries) and our food was barely warm. We waited to eat because we didn’t want to eat before our child and it had been 10 minutes since getting our food and we still hadn't received our daughters food so when we saw our waitress we told her we wanted the manager and we just asked to leave because we didn't even care to eat at that point. Awful service and we didn’t eat the food but it looked awful. Very disappointed as we just wanted a nice family dinner. Will never go back again.

Sat at a booth for 20 minutes no one ever acknowledged us. When we decided to finally tell a manager all he did was make excuses and then the bartender had the audacity to say it won't hurt me if you don't come back. Nice customer service.
the food and drinks have gone soooo downhill the last decade. my drinks were either watered down or disgustingly strong and the food wasn’t really even edible. they brought me out meat at first when I cannot eat. honestly I don’t even think I got what I ordered completely but I wouldn’t suggest this place to anybody. chips & salsa are even bland, thin and watery. sad cuz this place used to be amazing

We came here to celebrate my MIL, BIL & my birthday. I had the Tinga Chicken Taco & unfortunately it was the saltiest meal I've ever had. I couldn't not, for the life of me, try & finish the 2nd taco. I do have Edema. If there's too much consumption of salt, my hands and feet do tend to swell. With necessary/decent moderations, swelling won't happen. In this instance, I was extremely uncomfortable but tried to keep it together for my family. To also note, I did not have anything throughout the day that contained salt, until dinner @ Salty Iguana. However, the dessert was great. No doubt about that. Our server was attentive, given how busy she was.

Very good food! I have eaten here often - service, food quality and promptness are always exceeding expectations. Costs are very reasonable and portion sizes are large. The decor is very cute and unique. Space caters to groups, families with kids but also has a bar area for adults. Hint - the salsa is quite mild so mixing in a little hot makes it just right!!

Had a fantastic dinner tonight at Salty Iguana. Before we get to the food, let's talk about the decor - every wall is covered from top to bottom in paintings of iguanas with a nod to all things KC. I don't even have the words to do it justice! As far as the food, it came out hot and fast! Great service! Gotta love the blue corn tortillas - really adds a visual aspect to the tacos! The P.V.B. earned high praise from my husband, who swears it is one of the best burritos ever! Definitely a preferred spot to get some great Tex-Mex.
