Fine dining prices without the fine dining food/experience. I Had the short rib bolognese. Either they use ground beef or chop and fry the short rib. Have had way better/flavorful for less at other restaurants. Crab cakes are fried. Decent, but again overpriced and oily. Small house salad is $7. Should be about $4. The server must have been hired straight out of a diner. No silverware/napkin, wait. Interruption of conversation rather than waiting for a natural break i.e. abruptly approaching table and asking if we are ok multiple times, left food on table and we had to request a box 4 times, desert came and food was still on the plate just shoved aside. I am not a cheap person and will gladly pay for experience and good food. This place missed both marks. Sorry - hope feedback is helpful.

Enjoyed food very much. Waiter was great!
There was a mysterious hair in my meal (likely a pube.) Overall, the service was under par and the restaurant was kinda gaudy.

Unfortunately, Vivalore left us high and dry for my mother's 82nd Birthday dinner on January 2nd. I made reservations well in advance of the Holidays and recieved an email confirming our reservation the day before. As we were arriving at the restaurant, we recieved a message from the owner stating they were closed for winter break and that our reservation had fallen through the cracks. The manager followed up with a phone call letting me know the same. As we were all looking forward to dining at Vivalore, we visited the menu on their website and nowhere was it posted they were closed, leaving us to find another restaurant at 7pm on a Friday night during the holidays.
The manager told me on the phone he would talk to the owner and see if there was anything he could do for our party, but as of 1 month later I have not been contacted.
I made reservations for my wifes birthday, I found out they don’t care at all about birthday dinners, I reserved the seats on the back porch inside, when we arrived the unclean kid that was seating us said it was to cold to sit back there, and we simply said ok, and we would sit somewhere else, he sat the 2 of us at a huge 8 top table, that was to tall for the chairs, and it was really awkward being in the middle of the room, just 2 of us sitting at a table that was so big, we felt so far apart from each other, so we asked if we could go sit at a smaller table, he sat us at a high top 2 seater by the bar, there were several empty normal 2 seater tables, that nobody ever sat at while we were there, I am still not sure who our waiter was, the kid poured 1 glass of water for my wife and asked us if we wanted a appetizer, we ordered crab cakes, and my wife also ordered butternut squash soup, after a while, the bartender came and asked us if we wanted to order our entree, we both ordered, it was not much later our entrees came out, we both looked at each other, before we could say anything that 3rd person was gone, who we hadn’t seen before anyway, my wife’s entree /Acorn squash wasn’t cooked correctly it was still so hard she couldn’t scoop it out, and was hard to eat with bad taste as well, my $52 16oz ribeye was not 16 oz, they cut it up and spread it out to make it look bigger, it was just thin strips of steak, the 2 people who took our appetizer order and entree order didn’t come back until one of them finally brought my wife’s soup out after we were finished with our meals, we let them know they also never brought our appetizer, without hesitation he asked if we really still wanted it, we both just said no thank you waited for our check and left. Very Sad service, not a good vibe. 0 hospitality, 0 customer service.

today I had the best Reuben sandwich in greater Kansas City according to my taste buds. I also had a cup of tomato bisque soup also spectacular.

Went for restaurant week. Prime rib was good. Disappointed with the $65 fish & chips with slaw that was eh. Chicken roulade was good but very salty and polenta was thick and lumpy, not creamy. Lemon panna cotta was really good but served in a disposable plastic glass. Overall, was disappointed. Would try again in spring if I could sit in courtyard and order wine and apps or a happy hour.

Horrible ate here for new years eve. Sub par food would of been happier with McDonald's. Service was terrible. I think they knew what the cost was almost apologetic. I do not get along with my sister. I wouldn't even recommend this to her. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Total RIP off
I have always loved Vivilore and the charming atmosphere of the restaurant, so was eager to try their New Year’s Eve menu.
Despite an excellent waiter (Frederick), the experience was quite disappointing. We were seated near the entrance and in close proximity to other diners, despite availability in quieter spots. The five course meal felt quite rushed, with the next course being served before we had finished the previous one. At least 3 different servers attempted to bring dessert while we were still finishing our entrees. The quality of the food was not nearly what I had experienced previously. Many dishes seemed heavy on the salt.
Sadly, the experience was not at all what I had expected for a special night and for the price of the meal.
I had hoped to bring a larger group here at a later time but believe I will have to look elsewhere.

Such a fun pop up! We came from Overland Park to check it out before a show. Can't wait to come back and try the main restaurant. The food was delish and we loved the decor. Unlike other pop ups it was calm and relaxing!

Had lunch with friends, ordered the braised beef and pork bolognese, pasta cooked perfectly, bolognese hearty comfort food. However, the stars of the meal were the pork belly skewers. Pork belly nugget with a polenta crouton, maple chili glaze and pickled shallot. Presentation, beautiful, taste, unbelievable. Probably the best thing I have been served in many, many years.

Had the pleasure of dining here lately and it’s an absolute must try for everyone! The food, the atmosphere, the service. Everything was top notch and every detail was thought of! The food is absolutely delish, best chicken salad I’ve had easily! The uniqueness of the beautiful buildings adds so much to the experience! Cannot wait to go back! Their holiday pop up, Merryton is insanely gorgeous as well! Just true glam and elegance!
