We were there for dinner on Tuesday 4/5/22. We ordered gator for an appetizer. They were so rubbery and over cooked. The waitress said that was how it should be. I ask for sweet tea and when I got it. I could tell it sat a long time. It was bitter. I got the (Mac fish and corn bread.. I opted for hush puppies. They were so hard they couldn't be eaten. The macaroni was so dry it was like no cheese on it at all. Overall it was really bad and we were charged $42.87. The transaction # is 112261. Won't be back any time soon.

Very much NO! Their "filets" are 1/2 of a fish filet cut down the middle. Sides gave us frozen TV-dinner vibes. Server was extremely nice, but forgot something every time she returned to our table A friend recommended it, we tried it, won't return. We wanted to really make this place a part of our regular lineup but were grossly disappointed.

Now this place was a wonderful surprise! Good Cajun food in the middle of Missouri just doesn't happen but these guys made it happen. Grilled catfish may not sound good but wait til they put their special touch on it Wow! The jambalaya was amazing as well. If you don't make it here for dinner sometime, youre missing out.

We should have turned around when we walked in the door and could smell the fryer grease. We were seated quickly. We noticed the table top had a shine that was grease layered on and not clean/the surface was tacky. Our rolled up silverware hid two dirty knives. Crab cakes for appetizer were horrible. Smelled like fish, inside was mush. Had some sort of mustard to go with it. Yuck. I ordered the 4 oz. lobster tail with butter, red beans and rice, and green beans. My partner ordered one catfish filet, mac and cheese, and slaw. Where do I begin? The green beans were straight from the can. No seasoning what so ever. The red beans and rice: beans were split open from being over cooked. Rice was mush. It is obvious they heat and reheat this stuff until it's gone. Hushpuppies were nothing more than balls of cornmeal, dense cornmeal, no seasoning, nothing. When I asked for butter for the lobster tail, I was brought what appeared to be fake butter used at the theatre on popcorn. I asked the waitress if it was real butter and she stated yes. She was WRONG. At this point, I sent my plate back and ordered fries. The catfish filet was good and fresh and hot. The slaw looked regurgitated and the mac and cheese was a blob of overcooked noodles. We were only charged for the catfish piece and the crab cakes.

This was our first visit to the Cajun Catfish House. It won't be our last. Good selection including catfish, crab cakes, breaded oysters, alligator, frog legs, and more. We had carry out - fried catfish, breaded oysters, and crab cakes. We got the food about 2:30 and warmed it up about 5:30. It was very good!

The price for what was received was not worth this one and only visit. This meal was not to be a drive-thru meal. It was not relaxing and not a great experience. If I wanted fish and fries I could have gone thru Long John silver's, at least there are sides like slaw and hush puppies, not to mention cost less. Thanks but no thanks.

Was just OK. Slaw tastes like KFC and the fries were delivered cold and the same fries you buy from the grocery store in the bag. Probably won't go back.

First time eating here. The food was ok. You do get quite a bit of food for the price and the service was good. Personally was not my cup of tea. My friend that ate there also thought similarly to me.

We decided to get something from here to take home. They said it would a 30min wait which was fine; however it was closer to an hour. Once we got home we found the side portions to be very small. My beer battered cod looked like it came out of the freezer section. What's worse was when I went to eat it the batter wasn't cooked all the was and it was goopy and slimy. When I called to complain the hostess said there was nothing she could do but I could talk to a manager if I wanted. I said yes please. She apologized and asked if I wanted a new one that would take a long time or a refund. I said a refund was fine. She said she'd hope we try them again and her staff should be trained by the end of next week. My husband liked the clams and gator and catfish. I found everything really salty and fishy.

Delicious and fast, friendly service! I had Krispy Catfish and it was cooked perfectly. Try their fried potato salad. It was amazing!

Wonderful and clean environment, friendly and knowledgeable staff. They were out of gator, that was a bit of a let down. The frog legs were amazing, the catfish was not very good/cooked. Seemed too cooked on the outside and not a good texture on the inside.

Food was fantastic. We had crab cakes fried oysters and fried green beans as appetizers all were amazing. I had the fried catfish green beans and Cajun rice again all great. The wife had the beer battered cod with creamy coleslaw and green beans she loved it. Only thing neither of us liked was the hush puppies. They were just a little to dense for us. The wait stuff was excellent.
