The food was fresh and hot. It was much better than the last time I was there when they were in their old building. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive.

We loved coming here before the move. However, I'm not at all impressed since they moved to the new location. I'm not sure what happened, we have tried twice since the move but they were both terrible experiences. Asked multiple staff members for refills and we never received them. Also, the portions are much smaller now and quite bland. Very disappointed. Oscar's is our new "go to" place to have breakfast!

Mel's has been our go-to restaurant for several years. If you want a good, affordable, down-home meal, this is the place.

Updated 2024 - new building is a different feel but I can definitely see how it helps staff. Food was great and service was top notch.
Great food. Service is hit and miss. Sometimes the service is above and beyond while others is lacking. Food always makes up for it. Avoid busy times!

Nice breakfast in this updated country diner. We opted for an omelet and biscuits and gravy. Food was tasty and food came out fast. Service was friendly and atmosphere was welcoming. Good coffee! Nice distance for breakfast from lake of Ozarks on our way home from the lake
