If you want a meal that tasted like your Mom's or your Grandma's, this is the place to eat. Nick's has the best cole slaw and fried chicken in town. I drive past several places to eat at Nick's. You won't be sorry.
I do a lot of travelling and try to avoid mainstream restaurants...the chains...the ones where it always tastes the same. Found Nick's Family Restaurant today...it will be my "go-to" when passing through Jefferson City. I had my own little flashback of going to grandmas to have dinner with each little bite I took. The chicken is remarkable....fresh and crispy and tastes like grandmas - who did the cast iron pan fry method. The potatoes and gravy were clearly...
Ate there for the first time this evening. Food was fantastic. Staff was kind, and attentive. They were busy, but everyone was in good spirits and working diligently to get customers taken care of. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go again.
