the breakfast bar was cold and soggy and was not appetizing and than we got charged $20?! But the view was incredible so it made up the disappointment a bit.
Dietary restrictions: if you restrict yourself to food that tastes bad than go here

Went here on Valentine’s Day. Huge mistake, wait time was forever and the food wasn’t very good, especially considering the crazy high prices. Such a shame as the view is incredible.
This was an amazing experience. My boyfriend and I had a date night here and I loved it so much. Very friendly staff.

I very rarely give poor reviews, but this was terrible. We were the only ones initially in the restaurant. The waitress looked half asleep, we were given a menu that was on wrinkled up paper that was dirty and covered in old food, we ordered the truffle fries as appetizer, but never recieved until after the meal. Ordered the ravioli which is supposed to come with salad and the bar tender ended up getting it for us later as the waitress disappeared, the garlic bread was stale. The soda was flat. We saw this on a previous review and figured a week later it may be fixed. It is not. They didnt seen to care when we pointed it out. Asked for ketchup for the fries, never received. Food was very mediocre. When ordering, asked what the soup of the day was, she just said she had no idea and made no effort to find out. View was good, but couldn't sit on the restaurant side to see the capital as they said it wasn't open at 7pm on a Friday night. Waitress just seemed annoyed that she had a customer. Overall besides the view, would not recommend.

My husband and I live locally, and tried this place for date night. We are very disappointed, we will not be returning. We spent over $50, my husband got the ribeye, mashed potatoes, and greenbeans. Having experience with cattle and butchering, the steak was not an actual ribeye cut, the mashed potatoes were okay, and the green beens were sour. I got the cheese ravioli with a Ceasar salad. The ravioli was supposed to come with garlic bread, but they were out, so I substituted the garlic bread for their Southwest chowder soup. The ravioli were a mix of hot and cold, with a very wet, soupy marinara sauce. The soup was terrible, tasted like straight flour with some spices. I took one bite and spit it out.
Tip: if you are expecting to drink alcohol, you'll want to call ahead or not come with any expectations as it seems like even on a Saturday night at dinner, it is not staffed.
For our drinks instead, we both had cokes, which were extremely flat, as their CO2 cartridge in their machine was out, and kept offering us flat sodas after bringing this to their attention.
Although I do acknowledge most of our complaints are with the kitchen, they didn't seem to care or try to remedy things we nicely brought to their attention, they didn't seem to either know how or want to fix them.
We actually ran into some nice ladies on their way up to the bar and saved them the disappointment.

After our granddaughters' dance recital, we decided to dine here because it wasn't crowded. The views of Jefferson City are amazing from the top floor.
They didn't have enough help, so half of the restaurant was closed. Our group of nine ordered our meals. My wife ordered iced tea which was horrible. She then ordered a coke and received another iced tea.
My salmon with teriyaki sauce was excellent. One of our group ordered the cajun pasta which was very good and lots of it.
While waiting I took several pictures of Jefferson City. They were amazing. Before we left we had a group photo taken. It was a nice way to end the day.

Food is great, service is very hit or miss. Since there is rarely anyone in the place I’m sure it’s near impossible to keep help who work for tips. Salmon is second to none

Google paints the picture of this place being a “fancy” restaurant, but it is far from that. The food took an hour. My 12 oz ribeye was tough and very chewy, and looked nothing like a ribeye (coming from someone who works in the cattle industry and is very familiar with what steak cuts look like). My sides came out after my steak because my server forgot to put them in. Boyfriend’s saffron rice looked more like microwaved rice from a bag, but his burger was okay, so I’ll give them that. Server and bartender were both new, but that doesn’t excuse the restaurants overall poor performance. Very disappointed. The only redeeming quality is the view.

It was a Sunday night, so just me and my husband. Waitress was very nice. Chef salad was very good and so was the pork chops. Great atmoshere and view.

As with all the bad ratings and reviews, still tried this place and apparently, the low ratings I assume were all true particularly the long wait. Placed an order and after 30minutes or so, lady comes out apologizing the cook overlooked the order, a bit sandwich and fried shrimp, which are only 2 items plus the fact that the place is not even busy with about only 5 tables occupied by diners. This rating and review I'm posting is while waiting for my order.

This place is terrible. Don't work here, don't eat here, don't sleep here. The owner and the managers are terrible greedy people that make the employees miserable and customers unhappy. I've never seen a place so terribly run.

Stayed at the Doubletree while biking the Katy Trail. I was tired and didn’t feel like walking to a restaurant, so I took an elevator ride to Sapphires. I ordered the artichoke and spinach dip plus a Cesar salad with chicken. The dip had obviously been reheated from frozen — it was very watery, but it tasted okay. The tortilla chips served with the dip were fresh and crisp. The “Cesar” salad was disappointing. The chicken was cooked well with a bit of a char — delicious! But the salad itself was an iceberg lettuce mix (red cabbage and carrots) instead of Romain lettuce. The crouton to lettuce ratio favored the croutons — so many croutons! The bill came to $27 for the food: $11 for the dip (overpriced), $12 for the crouton, er, I mean “Cesar” salad (overpriced), and $4 for the chicken. The chicken was the highlight of the meal.On the bright side, I had a great server, the restaurant was clean, and the view of Jefferson City was great.

Couldn’t tell you anything about the food. Was seated for 15 minutes, and the waitress came and asked if we were ready to order. We didn’t have menus, so she went and got menus, and after waiting another 45 minutes and she never came back, we got up and left! That’s an hour of my life I’ll never get back, but will never waste another minute at that place!
