We stopped by Slim Chickens around 11 AM on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised to find it nearly empty with just one other couple was there. There was plenty of free parking in the lot, and the restaurant was easy to spot from the main road.
I didn’t even realize there was another location in St. Louis, so this was a nice surprise! The food was great. We ordered chicken strips, fries, and garlic Texas toast. The portion size was generous for the price, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful.
What really made it stand out, though, was how perfect it was for my autistic son. He loved the garlic toast (a rare win for us!) and was totally hooked watching LEGO on the TV, which helped him stay calm and happy the whole time. The employees were friendly and welcoming, which added to the positive experience.
We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Second visit to Slims in two different locations. The food is what brought us back the second time. Nice young man waited on us & checked on us during our visit. Good food at a reasonable price.
I feel they can have a slight delay due to short staffing, but my food has always been fresh and really good, and the staff has always been kind/apologetic to any delays.

The food is so good but holy cow the drive through sucks. Its 10 minutes waiting to be acknowledged at the speaker and then another 20+ to get food.

Poor service. I pulled up and waited at stall 1 where she asked me to wait. About 2 minutes into the wait, a car pulled to stall 2. I heard her ask them to wait as well. After ANOTHER two minutes, she took stall 2s order. Than about a minute after that order was taken, they finally came back to my stall. I asked why that happened and they said their system is confusing. It appears that the employees, and especially management, need to be trained on the system itself as well as customer service standards. I have never eaten at a slim chickens yet and was excited to try it. Unfortunately for them, I'll probably not return to this location.
