Classic chicken sandwich at 3 in the afternoon. I hoped it would be fresh but alas, it was a flavorless not crisp hunk of chicken, obviously brought out of hiding. Fortunately my dogs will eat anything that previously lived.

We stopped by Slim Chickens around 11 AM on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised to find it nearly empty with just one other couple was there. There was plenty of free parking in the lot, and the restaurant was easy to spot from the main road.
I didn’t even realize there was another location in St. Louis, so this was a nice surprise! The food was great. We ordered chicken strips, fries, and garlic Texas toast. The portion size was generous for the price, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful.
What really made it stand out, though, was how perfect it was for my autistic son. He loved the garlic toast (a rare win for us!) and was totally hooked watching LEGO on the TV, which helped him stay calm and happy the whole time. The employees were friendly and welcoming, which added to the positive experience.
We had a great time and will definitely be back!
