Extremely disappointing experience. I would have to suggest the owners and staff go to Kansas City for some BBQ so they could learn how it's suppose to be done. The place was out of more than half the menu on a Friday at 5pm. Highlight of the trip was the 2 nice kids working as service providers. The owner sat at the front and entertained his friends at the bar and was rude and unfriendly with all the other patrons. Saddest potato salad and coleslaw I've ever tasted. My wings tasted nasty and I could hardly chew them. As if they smoked them a week ago and kept serving them until they were all gone. This dump really needs to close its doors. Sad when there is a convention in town and we should have known when there was only 4 groups in there on a Friday. Jrfferson City has a gem of a downtown by the Capitol I hope someone who knows how to operate a quality restaurant moves in the area. Has all the potential.

This place is total fire!! if you like meat, you will love this place. Sauces are great, but you really don’t need them if you don’t want them. It is that good

First time visiting.
The waitress suggested I try their special of 4 ribs and a side. It was delicious.

I was in town for a business trip, excited to stop here on the first day that we were In Jefferson City. Gene recommended that I include three things on my plate: smoked turkey, jalapeño cheddar grits, and the potato salad. He nailed it; I could eat those cheddar grits ALL DAY. Joy made sure that we were taken care of made us feel incredibly welcome. I cannot recommend this place enough. 20/10I’m

Found this place by accident when taking a walk from my hotel. Had the pulled pork, Mac and cheese, and jalepeno cheddar grits. Good stuff! Glad I decided to walk down that street!

Stopped for a quick bite while traveling through. Popular place, parking is annoying since it's downtown. Super casual, no frills bbq. Brisket and mac & cheese were amazing. Prices were typical of bbq - a little high IMO - but portions were generous. Def worth a try!

The two bright spots of our meal were the mack 'n cheese and the stoner sauce on the tater tots.

Admittedly, I'm a bit biased when it comes to BBQ. I've eaten the best BBQ Texas has to offer and this place doesn't even rate.

I didn't expect to find the greatest BBQ in downtown Jeff City, but i also didn't expect to get served what looked and tasted like warmed up vacuum packed brisket and sausage.

It was dry and flavorless and I didn't have to wonder why they offered six different sauces on the table. It would've been difficult to choke down the brisket and sausage without it.

The service was okay and the beer menu is pretty limited. This is the only BBQ place I've eaten in Jeff City but I hope the other offerings are better than this one.

If you're craving brisket and sausage in Jeff, try one of the other offerings. I didn't expect much, but come on. You can find better brisket and sausage in your own back yard.

The service was the brightest spot on this trip and that's not all a BBQ joint should have to offer. And at $70 for two of us, this was way over priced.
