Kinda sad, my order was wrong and food cold. Portions are getting smaller but prices are skyrocketing.

Wow, most the time the mall food is not my go to, but this place was great and the proportions are large. Absolutely, loved their queso and their chicken was very flavorful. 10/10 will come again!

Just had the worst meal I’ve had in Jeff City in a number of years. I don’t know how this place is rated 4.8. The tacos were awful, The refried beans were awful. The chimichanga was awful too and The entrees were all soaking with grease. It’s like a 0.8.. We’ll never go back. Now we are having stomach issues. Wish I could get my $40 back! NEVER AGAIN! THIS PLACE SUCKED!

Still the best in all Mid-Mo! Been coming here since they opened and they have the best flavor. Almost as good as my mom's cooking (yes I am Mexican) but glad to support this family and business year after year.

I ordered Birria tacos and they were some of the worst tacos that I’ve ever had… Birria tacos are supposed to be hot and melted, and they were cold. Staff was rude and quiet. Couldn’t even put a smile on their face…. The only Reason they’re in business is because it’s one of the only few Mexican places to eat. Terrible service, terrible food, and I would not recommend it at all.

So I'm from the Kansas city area and we have a lot of mexican food BUT none quite as good as this place! It being in a mall concerned me, but don't be fooled it's amazing!!

El Tapatio is by far the best Mexican joint to go to in Jefferson City if not the entire state. Family is from Southern California. Their food is phenomenal!!!!! They also have their own market. Located inside the front of the Jefferson City Mall. I've been coming here since 2019 2020 when they first opened. It's a must try. (One of the only Mexican places I've been to that has consume, and Birria tacos)!

I chose it because of 4.7 rating, but more like 4.4. It's hard to choose what to eat because it's all in Spanish . The meat Asada was dry like it had been sitting awhile or overcooked. Rice, not much flavor. The beans, however, were good. You get decent portions, but only 1 large tortilla .

Best tacos for me while living in JC MO. Their menu is a plus and their pricing is decent. I want them to add more foods.

Delicious steak burrito ??

You haven’t had authentic tacos if you’ve never been here! I’m never dissatisfied. I did get a mix up order once but they were quick and willing to correct their mistake! Highly recommend!
