We were having a high school reunion. Veits put us into their large bar area. We had some of our guests choosing food from the buffet, while others ordered from the menu. This was quite accommodating. Our server was Bijou Carrel. She had great patience while providing service to 20+ guests who kept moving around. She even climbed on a table to take a group photo.
My wife and I stopped in and we each had a Catfish Basket ordered off of the appetizer menu. It's more food than you'll want unless you're super hungry. The fried catfish was perfect and there is a generous amount of steak fries thrown in. We also ordered the Veits Salad and it was delicious. Curt, our waiter was awesome! He was a better server than I've had in a long time and genuinely nice.
The staff was friendly. The grilled catfish was good - very pleasant experience, first time here.I’ll definitely be back, we lost track of time and stayed well beyond closing time unintentionally. The staff was more than gracious.
