Our server was so kind but the ambiance was awful. It was about 2pm and the bartender was doing shots with a very loud group. The music was too loud, somehow the lights dimmed at 2:11pm? My dad got the pecker sandwich and he really enjoyed it but the fries were way too salty. I got a side Caesar and the croutons were SO good they added a star to this review. Our server said they're made in house so that's cool. The lavender cosmo was my first venture into lavender drinks and it tasted how my candle smells but I don't know if that's the intention... but again our server was awesome! Saving grace of our passing through town.

I drove 2 hours from home to eat here. It did NOT disappoint. The seabass over pasta was mouthwatering! The staff were so welcoming and kind.I was so impressed with the plant shop they have next door too.Be sure to bring extra money. You are going to want to buy plants or knick knacks.Totally worth the drive for a fun day!

In town for a family visit, we knew Brian had opened his restaurant “Beast & Barrel” so we had to try it…. Well their not lying when they say the Brussel sprouts are good, there great!! It happened to be Saint Patrick’s day so I opted for the Shepards Pie, it was tasty just like I’ve gotten at true Irish Pub in NYC. My mom had the beef tips and she said they were delicious and more than she could eat. Our thanks to Brian and the wonderful staff at the Beast & Barrel, you made a lovely evening for my family!Thank You.

Great food and a wonderful atmosphere. A nice addition to Joplin. Plus, the plant shop next door is too cute! I love the free clippings I got to take and all the eclectic finds. I will definitely be back. Sorry there is no picture of my burger covered in blue cheese and bacon or my brussel sprouts. They were gone before I thought to take a picture.

Brought my partner today because he HAD to try the Brussels. He LOVED them. As I knew he would lol. I also tried the chicken Marsala, which was delicious, tho a little stodgy for my preference. The service was great as always and All Dogs Go To Heaven was on the TV nearest! Good grief, I haven't seen that in 30 years. A fabulous lunch was had.

Love this place! It's got a fun atmosphere that's modern by playful, great drinks, and awesome service! Eric is super friendly and knowledgeable behind the bar, and they have a nice selection of beers, wines and liquors. I love their brussel sprouts, and their hot fried chicken sandwich. It's honestly my favorite place in Joplin for a casual, but tasty night out, and I hope they never leave!

I love local places like this! The menu is unique and they are always making special limited time dishes that are worth stopping in to try. Very helpful staff and a very cool bartender! I wasn't sure which beer I wanted and he brought out a few different bottles for me to look at to help make my decision, then made some awesome mixed drinks with his own flare, for my wife. That's above and beyond service to me and helped make our night more memorable. The bergers and chicken sandwiches are so good! Their fresh fries are delicious! Try the Beast Sauce!

Such a fantastic lunch spot. They had daily specials and make fresh sodas! Ask your server and they can make what you want. I had a refreshing raspberry soda. Things can be made gluten free if asked. The PBJammin burger was delicious and the shoestring fries were fresh and crispy. I would definitely come back next time I'm in town!

Wonderful ambiance and delicious food and cocktails. I had the surf and turf ravioli along with an apple pie a la mode drink and a cranberry coconut margarita.

I've been here twice now and everytime has been wonderful. I love that the bartender acknowledges you when you come in and will even seat you (if he's not busy). The waitresses have all been pleasant, sweet and come and check on you throughout. The drinks are super classy and there is a good selection. The food has all been great too. Had the steak, the tempura rice shrimp (no longer available) and their burgers. My #1 place to go to for a nice classy dinner.

Fun and quirky spot with a chill vibes, friendly service and elevated pub food. Interesting house cocktails round out the experience. You have to get the Beady Burger-salami, bacon, beset sauce, pickle, and a fried egg to name just a few of the condiments on this burger. The hand cut skinny fries are fab. Ask for the garlic aioli for dipping! Let very full and satisfied.

This will be the third time I've posted a review here and it disappears. We come in about once a month, usually for lunch on Saturdays. We are never disappointed with the interesting menu, friendly staff, and house-made sodas. I can't speak to the bar as neither of us drink alcohol, but my wife always tries one of their house-made sodas which are always good and interesting. One thing for sure we always want is the Eagle sauce, it's not on the menu but the best way to have fries. It's a remnant from the Egale drive-in which we miss.I love the rotating artwork, there is always something interesting to see. The floor-to-ceiling wine rack is fun to see as it has slowly filled up since the opening. The food is always fresh and interesting. Even just getting a burger is not just a burger here. The menu is always inventive and updated with fresh ideas.Other have mentioned the restrooms, which seem to be shared with other tenants in the building. It's modern and stylish, something you might find in an upscale nightclub or restaurant in Chicago. We tend to park in the back and come in the back door but there is also a Main St. entrance. Seating can be limited when they are busy but we have never had to wait long for a table.

My husband took me out for a birthday dinner tonight. I wanted to try some place different. I saw the menu online and knew we would like to try some of the items. We were welcomed warmly by Eric. We sat at the bar. He was great. The atmosphere was awesome. And, the food was phenomenal. You won't go away hungry, for sure. We will definitely come back.
