Visited Joplin for a few days and gave this place a shot after hearing good things about it. Nice little restaurant but the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the lunch special burnt ends/pulled pork sandwich and man was it bad. It literally tasted like someone cut an overcooked pork chop into cubes and through it on a hoagie. The cheese pasta and chicken my fiancé ordered was bland and watery. Maybe we caught them on a bad day but needless to say, we won’t be back.

Food is fantastic. The spicy fried pickles are perfect and the Smokehouse cobb salad with bacon vinaigrette is amazing.

We really enjoyed our visit. The burger, steak, and dessert and drinks were delicious. The chili was good, but needed bread or crackers to go with it. The fries were a little too crispy/burnt but not bad. We would totally eat here again. Our waiter was awesome and we liked the atmosphere.

LEVI was Fantastic!!! The food Fantastic the drinks Fantastic... the lady with the double buns in her hair bossing around the other staff loudly trying to degrade her co workers in front of customers was awful.. she stepped on the toes of our actually great server and was then awful to every other employee that came in her path.. but Levi and the back staff were absolutely amazing 👏

Tried this place last night while in town, I didn’t understand the hype of it from others. Our server was incredibly kind, we just didn’t care for the food. Everything was severely over salted/seasoned. We got the Brussels appetizer, it was severely salty couldn’t finish it. I got the Alabama slammy, the slaw was very bland, the hoogie tasted stale, my fries had so much salt on them, the pulled pork was very dry. My husband got the blt, he had the same issue, fries had way too much salt and overdone.. side note their fryers needed changed, the oil was heavy. His sandwich was soggy and overly seasoned.

This IS THE VIBE! Incredible edibles-- SOTD is divine! Salmon with gnocchi is superb. Love the smoked meats. Cozy atmosphere is welcoming and chill. ❤️

What a lucky find! My new favorite place! Found this hidden gem by accident or plain good fortune. Whoever creates the specials and flavor combinations is a pure creative culinary genius! Every bite is like a flavor punch to the face!!!! And priced so incredibly reasonable! They have a fantastic lunch menu as well! We started with poutine fries that were insane, crispy fries & pork belly topped with brisket gravy and cheese curds. I had the special that consisted of a double smash burger with cheese, bacon jam and pimento cheese with spicy pickles and a side salad with their bacon vinegarette. I was branching out and trying new things with uncertainty of that flavor combo but couldn't have been more surprised nor delighted. To die for! That burger needs it's own name and placed on the permanent menu! My husband had the meat sweats pasta with smoky burnt ends, smoked chicken, brisket sausage, grilled peppers, grilled onions over cavatappi pasta in a roasted garlic Alfredo. ...divine! Both were go goid we couldn't help but share! Added bonus.....the service was second to none! Our server Jake is such an excellent server, knowledgeable, friendly and so enthusiastic about his job that it's utterly contagious! If I ever open a spot of my own....I'm stealing him! He's so dedicated that he drives 40 mile to work there! He's the best! If you haven't tried Blackstone Gastropub in Joplin, do yourself a favor and discover your new favorite place to eat AND ask for Jake! You'll be glad you did!

This little spot was busy and fun. I had steak tips; hubs had burnt ends. Both were really good. The peach cobbler is delightful, but know it’s more like a crisp than a cobbler. Service was excellent.
