Bookhouse Cinema is seriously the best place in Joplin. Period. I've been coming here pretty consistently for the last five years, so it's fair to say that Bookhouse holds a very special and sentimental place in my heart. this institution is the undisputed epicenter of indie films and delicious vegan food in joplin. boasting a warm, welcoming environment, the staff are always so genuinely nice, caring, and helpful; the food portion sizes are great; and the fare is always delicious. a couple personal favorites are the veggie burger and the tofu sandwich. definitely get the fries and the vegan aioli dipping sauce.
