I ate here 2 times within a 2 week period. On the first visit, we had no issues. The food was all served hot and delicious. The 2 for $5 house margarita special were perfectly made. Our server was attentive and asked if everything was good, refilled water, cleared dishes when done, etc...The second visit was absolutely the worst meal I have ever been served. Cheese was cold. We asked 2 times for hot cheese dip the 3rd time it was brought to our table cold we gave up. The hamburger meat had been cooked for so long, possibly in a steamer pan setup that it was mealy. Fell out of tortilla with the consistency of wet saw dust and had what I imagined wet saw dust with hamburger grease on it would taste like. The sides were cold, the chips were stale, and you could bend them without breaking them. It was like the restaurant I had eaten at the week before had disappeared or at the least wehad stepped into the Twilight Zone of restaurant hell. The server brought our plates left and never returned to our table one single time. One side of the booth seat was in such terrible condition that my friend had to move over to my side because he sunk down so low into it that his face was almost level with the table height. We sat there not eating the disgusting meal that had been put before us sipping away this on the only redeeming item the house margaritas believing that surely someone will have to at least try to drop off our bill right? Nope, she sure didn't. we went to the cashiers desk and waited for what felt like 30 minutes only to have a very young woman finally so up and immediately rang it in without saying a word. I asked to talk to whomever was in charge tonight. She finished running my card and said no problem. Disappeared and never returned, and neither did anyone else.With over an hour drive home ahead of us at the end of a very long day, we decided to leave.I sent an email regarding our visit and attempted to reach someone in charge at the restaurant by phone more than once, only to be put on hold... oops, then disconnected after waiting several minutes. Consider yourselves forwarned even after having a very good meal at a restaurant does not mean you ever will again or that they will even care about anything besides getting your money.Well, count my money over and over again, El Vaquero, because you will not see another penny of mine!!!

A group of us went to try it out, we will never go back again! We almost drive by the restaurant because there's barely any lights on outside. When we arrived inside the young lady greeted us and got us to table and from there the service just went down hill. A employee's kid kept on coming up to the table and saying stuff in Spanish to us. The waitress came and took our drink order by the time we had almost finished our drinks she came back and took our dinner order, some of the group had food allergy requirements and she ignored all of them, when it brought up after the food arrived, it was as if it was our fault. After another long wait we did get the food replacements but by that time most of the meal was cold. After the food was done she never came back and asked how we were doing or if anyone wanted something else or a drink. After another long wait we finally received the checks while she waited to receive payment. Food was ok, drinks were ok, ambiance was typical Mexican style but service was terrible.

I rarely leave bad reviews but we had a horrible experience last night. We were there to celebrate our 30 year anniversary with our adult children and the service was awful. We waited forever to be seated. Our drink order took 30 mins to be taken. We had to ask our server to finally take our food order. Took forever to get our food and when we did it was one meal at a time so no one was eating at the same time. We tried to be as polite as we could even after the server spilled queso in my daughter’s purse. Our drinks were only refilled when we asked. I actually had to go hunt down another server to refill one of our drinks. We have eaten here before and the experience then was fine. We were there for almost 3 hours last night because that was how long it took. Do not recommend.
