Sadly, as we were going in we noticed people carrying furniture out. We ran into one of the owners at the door who told us this was their last day, and they are being forced to close. The cost of labor post-COVID, their lease went up and the ever-increasing costs of everything due to the Biden-caused inflation had destroyed their business. Although they stayed open for the day they had just informed the staff and everyone was in a somber and shocked mood. We ordered and ate our dinner while the owners took down pictures and artwork they had brought from China. A few weeks until Christmas and our waitress was worried about what she was going to do for work. This should not have happened. This is the best quality and delicately made Chinese food in town. Everyone who eats here loves it. Compare any similarly named menu item with any version at the other Chinese restaurants in town and there is simply no question that theirs was the best. I work in marketing and I could write a lot about how to promote and stay in the front of mind with the public. And Joplin does have a problem with few restaurants surviving if they are not within a quarter mile of Rangeline. This too is a shame. There are a few great restaurants that are not in the Rangeline strip mall overcrowded hell but poor city planning makes it nearly impossible for many businesses in town to succeed off the ugly, over-crowded, unsafe traffic plagued, and poorly zoned Rangeline. Having great food is not enough. This is one of those situations where I miss having an organized yelp elite group in town. There are a bunch of us in town but we do not work as a group. When businesses like this are struggling a yelp event could go far in driving traffic. It may not have saved this one but we have lost a lot of great places that just can't make it when not in the overcrowded Rangeline strip. And the more they overbuild Rangeline, the fewer incentives people have to support great businesses that are spread around town. It's part of why the Main street struggles too, the city does not do enough to incentivize businesses to build and renovate there while also doing nothing to slow building and density on Rangeline. And where are the supposed business support organizations? Where is the Chamber of Commerce, nowhere to be found? Few locals consider the Chamber as being pro-small business or effective at helping the little guys succeed. It's not one thing, it's many but the city leadership, Zoning commission, and others who would be helping businesses succeed are often no where in sight and little seems to be done to help great businesses like this survey. So sadly we lose another family owned and run local business. Well, at least we have 8-10 Sonics in town. We savored our leftovers this weekend, and we went out of our way to over-order and tip big, The waitress made a point of thanking me for the tip she was not expecting. And to my own fault, we had only eaten here twice. It wasn't on Rangeline and since the city steers all business activities there we had little reason to drive the extra ten minutes to find a superior Chinese restaurant before it was too late. RIP Fu Noodle House. I hope your owners find another way to bring their great food to us, or maybe some other place more deserving of their talents.

Such a surprise. It's a very unassuming location but don't be fooled inside you will find a staff that is striving to make your visit memorable. There is a large menu and I was a little taken back by the prices but once food arrived it was easy to see that prices are properly aligned with portion sizes.I ordered a variety of dishes and starters. Food service was timely and food was served hot.I ordered Crab Rangoon, spring rolls, pan fried dumplings, soup dumplings, salted egg custard dumplings to start the meal. Beef fried noodles, spicy crunchy shrimp and orange chicken for the main meal. Highly recommend all and looking forward to the next visit. The offer carry out so do your family a favor and pick up some dumplings and noodles on your way home.

Food was fantastic. Cucumber salad was excellent love the dressing. Spring rolls and pan fried dumplings were so good I ordered another round of each. Crab Rangoons were in the top 5 I've ever had. I believe that they make all of these fresh to order as these were all fantastic and on another level . I will definitely be back when I'm in Joplin. Only thing they need to work on is communicating front and back of the house . Definitely a language barrier but understood. Just be patient and it will be worth your while . Service was very hospitable.

After seeing the reviews, my wife and I were excited to try this restaurant. We both have an affinity for Chinese food and have spent many an evening wandering the night markets of Taiwan. I ordered the broccoli and beef, my wife, noodles with a combination of meats. We also ordered boa buns and a scallion pancake. The food was hot and swimming in oil. The problem was not the abundance of cholesterol but the lack of utility from it. If it's going to be stroke inducing it better be to die for. FU noodles was not. The food was under-seasoned and seemed to have been re-heated. The scallion pancake, rather than being crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside was crispy all they way through, like deep fried phyllo dough. The boa buns were tasteless and the filling had an unusual texture. I did not finish my food because it was not worth eating. We went to the counter to pay but could not locate the staff. After activating the door chime and another minute, we paid and left. I wish nothing but the best for FU Noodles. I appreciate the work and dedication it took to start this restaurant, but I cannot recommend this business.

The food here is excessively greasy and is lacking in flavor. I was extremely disappointed with the quality, and was not able to finish my meal. The scallion pancake fills your mouth with oil, and is nothing like a traditional scallion pancake with the crispy outside and fluffy center. I was excited to try this restaurant after reading some positive reviews and seeing good looking pictures, but the experience I had was not at all that way. I did inform our waitress that we didn't care for the food, but she just said "well you either love it or hate it."

Surprising gem of a restaurant! Unexpectedly good dim sum and flavorful dishes that have never disappointed. Hopefully they will add more dim sum options to their menu because they do it so well and there is a real need for it in the Midwest. Fu Noodle has earned the rank of best Chinese food in Joplin in my books! Can't wait to come back for more!

I never write reviews, but for this restaurant, I had to. My whole family loved it. The kids want to go back every time we go to Joplin.

Came here with my sisters and cousin. Best Chinese food I've had in a long time. Everything was good. Everything! The food was so hot and fresh. The sauces were hot and fresh, not from a jar.I wish I lived there. ?♥️

Pork soup dumpling, shrimp dumpling, cucumber salad, xiang long bao....all excellent. Come for all the dim sum! Spacious restaurant with many choices. Affordable and tasty too. They should rename their restaurant to "Flavor town" because that is exactly what you will get. Flavor. Not your typical Joplin, MO Chinese restaurant full of grease and salt. This place delivers on flavor. Come see.

5 stars for the soup dumplings! We also got orange chicken & beef noodles. They weren't bad but nothing like the soup dumplings! Those things were SO good!! Will definitely be back & will order more soup dumplings. It was very busy & they seem to be running a bit low on staff. Still very good food just took some time to get it.

We had a good experience. Our server was great. Very attentive and answered all our questions. Our food was very good. I got the General chicken and really liked it. The pan fried dumplings were very good as well. We had a small issue and they made it right. Definitely worth checking out. It's a very new place so go show them some support!

We have had this once to go and once in the restaurant. It was wonderful taken to go but really amazing fresh in the restaurant! The meals are large enough portions to be split between at least two people. The orange chicken was the best we’ve ever had- fresh and flavorful. We love the bao and dumplings.

I’m gonna be 100% honest here. Like it or not. When we first walked in all I saw was a dirty version of Granny Schafer’s (spelling?.) the staff that approached us weren’t very approachable in appearances. I understand good workers are hard to find. I looked at the plates of other diners and saw that the food looked good though. I was tempted to leave because of the sloppy appearance of the staff and restaurant. But I know better. Don’t always judge a book by the cover. No one looked sick and it didn’t look “dirty” so we gave it a shot.A day later we aren’t sick and the food was delicious. So it’s a good restaurant imo. They need to find a little better appearances and do some deep cleaning but I understand they might just be getting started.
